I don't often feel the need to share but I must share these babies. I reshafted my current set with x300's and moved the swight weights of the entire set to D8. I also spined the shafts. AND HOLY CRAP they feel amazing!!!!

Heads are Maltby TE Forged.

I have to ask, what do you think of the heads? I'm thinking a bit about TEs for my next set, probably with some C tapers. Matter of fact, I already wanted a white ferrule in them. Just looks class.

I can't find many good pictures out there, especially as far as the shape of the sole. This makes them look super chunky compared with the GW site... They also look super flat like they need some heel and toe relief.

Do the heads launch quite high? How is forgiveness? Is the sweet spot in the center or nearer the heel? Do you hit them ok out of bad or uneven lies? Is the sole of that PW like 1.2 inches wide at the toe, or am I imagining it? How is the turf interaction and what sort of attack angle do you use? Did you install the shafts taper tip or parallel?

And finally, how are the x300s in that head? I take it the FST 125s in your sig were too soft or light. How did you arrive at the choice of the x300?

I love these heads they hit well out of bad lies I can hit the 5 iron out of a divot. The soles of all the clubs are wider than a blade but not that wide they look like blades from address they are not flat. They feel awesome. the FST's were nice for a while until my swing speed increased and then I felt like I was either out racing them with my hands or that I had to make a hard transition to feel them in space. They were just a bit too light for me, With these i can get after the ball and still feel the club there behind my hands instead of feeling like I just tossed the thing from the top down range. I went with the x300 because I wanted a heavy club and the X300's were the heaviest shaft I could find. I'm reshafting everything with heavier shafts. I feel that I have more control when the club is heavy.
