best grip with firm and control feel.

I bought a Wilson tour special forged putter and used it with its original pecan leather grip. Very thin and probably doesn't even have grip tape it feels so thin haha.

bought a yes! Sophia of the same style of blade putter but the grip feels far too soft. I can feel it torque and throw the ball far past the hole and sometimes hurts my arc path.

is there a grip out there that isn't too soft with good feel and distance control? I've considered corded grips like the royal grip blue/red cord and saw suggestions for the Cameron Baby T grip but it seems the industry is going with larger softer grips

Get a grip off of a Cleveland Classic.  Those things are pretty hard.

Personally, I'm a fan of the Dancing Scotty Cameron Cord Grip, but I also like the new grip that comes on the 2012 line of Studio Select putters.  I like a cord grip and the Cameron is one of the few that I've been able to find, Golf Pride made one for a very short time, which I have on a Ping putter, but they have since stop making them.
