Greetings .... Here's an article by CNN-SI's Gary Von Sickle about PGA Tour Sponsor Exemptions In the article, Von Sickle mentions that for the short 2013 season, there will be more exemption opportunities for WEB-dot-COM and Q-School players, but less for certain others. If it were up to me, I'd just increase by two or four the number of available Sponsor Invites for Web-dot-Com/Q-School players and leave the other invite options as is. In either the actual or suggested cases, if two or more older Tour vets don't get into an event as a result --- well, sorry guys, get busy on your game! Meanwhile, the PGA Tour will grant full exempt status for 2013-14 for to anyone who is among the Top 125 on both the Money List and the Fed Ex Cup Points List, with the points list taking over from money in seasons thereafter. The Tour gives no hint that it will lower the full exempt threshold from the current mark of 125, so even with all of the coming changes, WEB-dot-COM graduates still face a pretty steep uphill climb for full exempt status. Thanx-A-Lot, Frank-0-Sport
