The more I play, the worse I get!!!!

I believe as one improves their game their expectations change and that can cause some to put more pressure on themselves.  The game is still "not a game of perfect" and the only stroke you can affect is the one at hand.  That aside though I have observed that a layoff can help you score.  But I think it is because your expectations go down and so you relax and just enjoy and  your score improves.

Well, I may not be alone here.   My quest to improve my golf game is met with heavy resistance of getting old.  At some point, it will just continue to decline as I lose more of my muscle mass, flexibility, ....
