The feeling of a great shot

I want to hear your stories of your best ever shot and the great feeling you get

Last season, one of the last rounds of the year.  Hole #18 was a medium length dogleg right.  It was getting late in the day, I was already tired and thinking, 'just two more good swings' as I'm teeing up on 18.  Drive goes to the middle of the fairway leaving me just inside 150 to the green.

Second shot was about 50 yards of fairway and 100 yards of water to the green.  Pulled a 7-iron and contemplated the steady 15 mph left to right wind. Bagged the 7, pulled the  6-iron and hit sort of a punch-draw into the wind 8' left of the pin.  Canned putt, walked off with birdie and still bought the wife dinner that night. Proof positive that 'no good deed goes unpunished.'

Looking back, it was probably one of the best shots I can remember hitting in a long time.  Smooth as silk off the club face, stood up beautifully to the wind, one short bounce and stopped cold 8' left of pin.
