New shows start tomorrow. It looks like Cara Robinson has been added to the cast. I think Paige is headed back to the Tour. The rest of the cast (Gary, Damon, Rhymer, Hack, LT, and Ginella) are back.

I thought Robinson was taking KT's spot. She wasn't on Monday so that would make sense. I'm not a fan of Tilghman so I'd be fine with that move.

Tilghman was never a regular on MD. She filled in at times. Her show is Golf Central.

Not true. She was a regular on Tuesdays and Wednesday, I believe, although it may have been Monday and Tuesday. Regardless of which days she was a two day a week regular on Gary Williams off days. Initially she was joined by Ahmad Rashad but he didn't last long. Thankfully, they had zero chemistry.

Still no sign of Cara Robinson. Strange since she was part of the New Year promos during December.

I have to admit, I am much more of a fan of the Show when it was was just Gary and Eric, often compelling dialog, inside info and the occasional real guest that had something to offer. the show to me was about golf and some side conversation of equipement & sports personalities in general. Holly was indeed tolerable and brought some value to the show when she was off to the side, providing commentary, news and golf news/events Now it's just watered down, back slapping, highly scripted BS circus show, with to much make up and glitz. Charlie ryhmer, nice to know you, see ya. Matt G, thanks for the showing us courses that 99% can not afford and/or will never play. Most of not all of the info that you provide can is just a mouse click away. Damian hack, Gary and can stay, Rosie is good too a couple of times a week. Lauren is perfect for the Holly role. Bring on some guests. I do realise there needs to be fill ins form time to time. It seems the direction of the show is trying to appeal to many demographics and loosing interest in the mean time.

This made me laugh. It is so true. I know I will never get to play any of the courses that he profiles. I see his segments and think he has the best job in America.

    • Day 11: did mirror work for a while. Worked on the same stuff.
    • I'm not sure you're calculating the number of strokes you would need to give correctly. The way I figure it, a 6.9 index golfer playing from tees that are rated 70.8/126 would have a course handicap of 6. A 20-index golfer playing from tees that are rated 64/106 would have a course handicap of 11. Therefore, based on the example above, assuming this is the same golf course and these index & slope numbers are based on the different tees, you should only have to give 5 strokes (or one stroke on the five most difficult holes if match play) not 6. Regardless, I get your point...the average golfer has no understanding of how the system works and trying to explain it to people, who haven't bothered to read the documentation provided by either the USGA or the R&A, is hopeless. In any case, I think the WHS as it currently is, does the best job possible of leveling the playing field and I think most golfers (obviously, based on the back & forth on this thread, not all golfers) at least comprehend that.
    • Day 115 12-5 Skills work tonight. Mostly just trying to be more aware of the shaft and where it's at. Hit foam golf balls.
    • Day 25 (5 Dec 25) - total rain day, worked on tempo and distance control.
    • Yes it's true in a large sample like a tournament a bunch of 20 handicaps shouldn't get 13 strokes more than you. One of them will have a day and win. But two on one, the 7 handicap is going to cover those 13 strokes the vast majority of the time. 20 handicaps are shit players. With super high variance and a very asymmetrical distribution of scores. Yes they shoot 85 every once in a while. But they shoot 110 way more often. A 7 handicap's equivalent is shooting 74 every once in a while but... 86 way more often?
