I've been Playing Golf for: Played 3 years straight 12 years ago, just started to play again 2 weeks ago
My current handicap index or average score is: 36
My typical ball flight is: Hook, but better after today when I took a more neutral grip (versus a stronger before)
The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Sometimes hook, want to establish the fundamentals (grip/alignment/backswing/foot work etc.) of my swing so that I may improve it by being consistent. Looking for any tips; I've already had a comment from someone saying I should try to backswing further so that my club is parallel to the ground when at its highest point. I would be very thankful for any advice!

To expand on the development I had on my hooking today; changed my grip from being a strong interlock grip to a neutral non-interlock. I felt it did good on getting rid of the hooking. However, I'm more comfortable with interlocking my fingers (except it really hurts in my right pinkie when I play a lot). Perhaps a neutral interlocking grip will give me the same result in terms of performance.

Below is my swing, first in normal speed, then in slo-mo.
