No ones, I just thought that coming here was a good way to get away from Hillary and her type. When this whole thing started about politics. I'm from NY, look at what these people are like! Spitzer is a bad person, think of his poor children, he is a spoiled rich brat with the world at his feet and blew it. I hope his kids disown the phony. What I meant was in defense of Republicans, Bill Clinton is pretty pathetic to grab that hog Monica when he was the most powerful man in the world. In a nutshell they are all sick people.

don't know where you come up with spitzer being a rich brat phony for having a tryst with a hooker? generally rich brat phonies are people who live a life of decadence off their trust funds and spitzer being a pit bull u.s. attorney going after corporate crime where he built an impeccable record hardly fits the bill. sure, what he did is the among the stupidest things to sabotage a political career but personally, i would rather have a politician focking around with other women that focking " we the people" as is our current president. come to think of it, our greatest presidents have been reckless fornicators.

He is a rich brat, very rich. He did some good chasing the mob but it went to his head and under Clinton it went unchecked. He hurt many good people on Wall Street but I am sure also got some bad ones. Despite what you accept as ok like men like Clinto and Spitzer, I find it sick that parents have to explain to their 9 year olds what oral sex is and why the most important man in our country is having it with a young girl and then lying about it. Or this guy who has chased Senator Bruno for the entire duration of his office and found nothing all the while seeing prostitutes and destroying his childrens lives. He is no good, no good at all, he is done but he is still very very rich from his dad's realestate empire in NY and will survive. On that note this is the last time I write about politics on this website and answer you, democrats get very angry.

he did both. the money for the flights for his sexual escapades came from the taxpayer's pockets. Anyone who thinks its a good idea to give driver's liscences to felons who don't pay taxes and that we have no record of is stupid in my book.

each of the political parties have their challenges with educating their kids about the birds and the bees. i imagine it must be especially difficult for republican families to explain to their kids why daddy's penis has poop on it

HI

most political campaigns are a freakshow, generally. I can't stand the way candidates try to get actors and celebs to publicly endorse them.

time and time again, its been the fornicators who have guided the destiny of our country to greatness, do you think charlie wilson would have been able to bring the soviets to their knees if he kept his whistle in his pants?

typical slander of the left wing flamer(the internet kind, not the homosexual kind). Instead of addressing the issue, a stupid and offensive comment. Why am I not suprised.

There's plenty of that to go around on both sides, nykfan4life.

I do think Ganja was very snarkily pointing out the hypocrisy of 'casting stones' at Spitzer from a partisan point of view with regard to his 'family values' or lack thereof when the other side of the aisle has had so many more of their own embarrassments and scandals in recent memory; Foley, Craig, Chenowith, Gingrich, Roche, Haggard, Allen, Murphy, and the list goes on and on. With regard to Spitzer (and the others named above) I have to say that the hubris of those who achieve high office never fails to amaze me. Let's just agree that this thread has become a trainwreck and let it crawl off to die...

I may have said some ideas were stupid, people were idiots, etc, but I never used a twisted and sick reference to homosexuality as an insult.

Back to the topic, however, I think it is appalling, what Spitzer did. If he cheats his family, what do you think he is likely to do to the state of NY(answer: use tax dollars to fly to *****houses)? I am not saying this because I oppose him politically; I would think no better of a republican doing the same thing. I am saying this because if our leaders do not have morals then I question to what we are being led to?

Personally, I blame his wife. If he was getting it at home maybe he wouldnt be blowing 80k in tax payers money to get it from some 22 year old.

And may I add, from the look of the pictures, its money well spent.

The 80k was his own money. They are saying the only taxpayer $ was in airfaire - but what I haven't heard was whether there was any concurrent official business as governor that justified taxpayer $ for the flights.

Wasn't referring to you exclusively or even directly. Just saying that it is dishonest and inaccurate for you to claim that insult without real argument is a unique trait of the left.

For someone who is so smart and rich you think he would splurge for the airline tickets out of his own wallet. Shame.

Hope she was worth a career and about half your money once the wifey files for a divorce.

Yeah, I am constantly amazed that smart, powerful people do such dumb things.

I wonder how many other powerful people are sweating bullets as the feds comb through the books of this operation?

I dont know which operation you are referring to. From what I remember, he was already being investigated for the money laundering, and thats when they discovered where the money was going and thats the point it went public.

I could be wrong, I only caught the specifics on break at work from CNN.

Hard to tell if you are being sarcastic with this one or not.

I think the woman and her "employers" should be sued for price-gouging. 1k per hour, and 10k per day. You'd be crazy not to pay for the day, but I mean come on. Atleast he wasnt dipping his pen in the company ink. I still cant get over how someone so smart, and for someone who has an appearence that they have it all together can be so stupid and careless.

    • I have been debating getting a launch monitor of some sort, if only so I can re-figure my shot zones (I haven't actually mapped them in years) and also to practice distance wedges at home.  I have to see if this works with either my current setup, or what my setup would be if I move it to the garage.
    • Day 48, June 23.  After work today, I took 25 minutes in my practice room;  6-iron, same everything as yesterday except the time and count.
    • Well, this is interesting.  I think we discovered a few months ago that I haven't been following professional golf in a while (my confusion about Scotty's footwork confirmed that), so at least as I aim to follow a bit more I'll get something new to learn with all of you.  My very quick read of Erik's summary makes me think this new Challenger series fits somewhere between Korn Ferry and the Championship (not Champions, but I know I'm going to make that mistake a few times if I'm not careful!).   My recollection is that there were already second-tier events among the PGA Tour;  the Bob Hope didn't have the same quality of field as the event at Riviera (whose current name I forget, although now that I say that, I realize the Palm Springs event hasn't been called the Bob Hope in a few years either).   With the absence of the FedEx (if I'm reading that correctly), does that mean no more FedEx Cup at all? Hopefully I'll have time later in 2026 to sit down and see what we're in for in 2027, where one of my goals already is to follow more professional golf.
    • The highlights as I see them: Championship and Challenger Series The creation of the PGA Tour and the PGB Tour, in the words of Joel Dahmen a few years ago. They're calling them the Championship Series (23-24 events) and the Challenger Series (20+ events). Both run February to August. They feel this will achieve three things: increasing the consistency and quality of fields across the season creating a clear system for players to earn and retain status and delivering a more structured and competitive experience for fans and partners—all in an effort to strengthen meritocracy. Championship Series Structure and Eligibility The 23-24 events includes the Players, majors, season-ending events, and the Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup. These will be 72-hole events with a 36-hole cut to the top 65 and ties and purses of $20M+. 120 players without an alternate list. 90 players (roughly) from the previous year and 20 players promoted from the Challenger Series. Full eligibility will be finalized later this year. Sites (cities) to be finalized soon, but 10 of the 15 courses have already been determined. Postseason: includes retention and relegation and concludes with match play. The Tour Championship will also be played across a rotation of prestigious courses. Challenger Series Structure and Eligibility 20+ events. Running concurrently. Will feature players fighting their way back to the Championship Series or players graduating and on the upswing from the Korn Ferry Tour. Many of these events will be current PGA Tour courses. About 7 of the Challenger Series events will be during off weeks for the Championship Series with elevated purses and visibility. Purses of at least $4M, with cuts similar to the Champ series. 144 player fields. Competitive Fields for Both Series Players will be eligible for only one series at a time: Championship Series Players are not eligible for Challenger Series events. Championship Series members will have a known schedule with all events having the same eligibility. Players and Majors will have their own eligibility criteria. Championship Series players don't have to play all events. This begs the question about, say, the Canadian Open, and other "home-town" events that players might want to play, even if they're Challenger Series events. Will releases be granted? Promotion and Relegation At least 90 players will be retained in the Championship Series, and 20 players will be promoted from the Challenger Series each year. Battlefield promotion for two-time winners from the Challenger Series. Players relegated from the Championship Series will have a "last chance" opportunity to retain status, or will go to the Challenger Series. Criteria will be finalized before the start of the 2027 season. Points System New points system (not FedExCup points). Separate points systems for the Championship and Challenger Series. Elevated points in the Challenger Series for off-weeks on the Championship Series. More details tk. Elevated International Events in the Fall The fall schedule will include a limited series of elevated international events with top players from the Championship Series, with the intent to deliver in partnership with the DP World Tour as part of the Strategic Alliance. Last Chance Series The Tour will develop a “last chance” series of 4-6 events in the fall, with a limited number of spots on the Championship Series available for top finishers. Eligibility will include players relegated from the Championship Series, Challenger Series players, and other categories to be determined. Q-School continues, as do the Korn Ferry Tour and PGA Tour Latinoamerica. Also, Brian Rolapp is the new commissioner as of January 1, 2027.
