This is a follow up question to a post I made last night. I was asking which company you all thought made the best 'feeling' golf clubs and from all of the answers you gave me I gathered that there was no right answer, that feel is personal and subjective. So, now I am curious as to what it is about your favorite feeling club that makes it just that, your best feeling club... is it sound? weight? the fact that it feels like it hits it a mile when you connect? do you like a 'tingy' sounding club? or more of a 'solid' sound? Is it all about how the club feels when impacted off-center? confidence with the club? It's a hard thing to express verbally, since it is a feeling. I think for me my best feeling club is my 7iron. I think the weight of the club is perfect for my swing and when I hit it well, it feels incredibly soft. That was hard to articulate... How do you describe feel?

Which manufacturer do you think makes the best feeling clubs? individual products as well as entire product lineup. I got into an argument with my buddies the other day and I figure you all are the best ones to decide who wins. thanks!

I agree. yoga will strech out your glutes and ham strings as well as increase strength in your lower core. plus there are usually good looking women in yoga classes...

Cool thread - thanks for posting

38!! there are some on there that I don't think I will ever be able to do though!

go for a beginners yoga class. They usually focus on ham string stretches and that should loosen up your back real nice.

Bubba is better than that.....

I like to walk as much as possible because that is how I grew up playing in tournaments but now a days it is a little more enjoyable to ride and have a few beverages! When I do ride though, I do like to sit passanger and walk to my ball as much as possible.

Once again, there isn't much info on this website and i'm not trying to back them up or anything but it seems like it is pretty clear that they are just trying to show people what a perfect swing looks like and then let them make their own judgment on what they should work on. It may not appeal to everyone but I am definitely interested in comparing my swing to a 'perfect' swing. Too many times I am stuck at the range without a coach wondering what is going on with my swing. The apps where you can draw lines might help me, but I am not too sure which lines to draw and where... this just seems so black and white simple. Either you have a good swing or you don't. If you don't, fix it! haha... besides, who doesn't want a perfect swing? I wonder how the tour pros will match up to this model swing. that would be really cool to see.

HAHAHA. good stuff. Tell the guy that his +1.7 from the reds doesnt mean he should be playing the tips
-
I agree - no two bodies are the same, but that doesn't necessarily mean you can't compare your swing to a perfect swing and still learn something. And I don't think that people's proportions are all that different, its just their total height. If this app can account for the different height of players, I could see it working.

PING Eye 2s Are the Best Irons Ever Created
Noonan1 replied to famousdavis's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
When my grandpa passed away he left me his set of Ping Eye 2's and his old leather staff bag. My parents still have them in their basement. I played with them for the first 2 years of my high school career and have always loved them. Great irons! -
Great, thanks for the info. How well does the iSwing app work? easy? difficult? how much is it btw? Does anyone else have any golf apps on their phone that they would recommend? I really just want something simple. Thanks

there isn't really much on their website but it looks interesting. There is no price on the website. Does anyone know how much it will be? I would pay too much to help my swing.. already do... here is the website I stumbled on while searching for new 'swing tips and things'. check it out and let me know what you think. curious to hear feedback. http://myswingthing.com Cheers

Adam scott has a pretty 'textbook' swing. IMO

Mciilroy will only get better. especially now that he got that first major. He should have won at the masters but totally unraveled on 10 and was immediately done.
-
I think Dustin Johnson is going to win. He hits the ball a mile. Bubba is also a good pick.
-
he is still relatively young. We have been jaded by Tiger Woods being so good under pressure all the time as a young golfer. I think Bubba will continue to get better, as he has for the last few years, and will definitely be one of the favorites every tournament in the next few years to come.

average putts per GIR is 3.8?? I would work on getting that around 2... you said you hit 50% GIR - obviously that's 9 holes a round. If you drop 1.8 strokes on every GIR you hit, you'll drop 16.2 strokes per round..... pretty obvious that will get you breaking 70.. work on your lag putting. don't just hit 20 putts to a hole 25 feet away - that will only work on your repetition skills. hit 20 putts, but vary the distance of every putt - that will help your feel on lag putts. good luck.

Best shot of my week came when I was having the most fun - of course! I was hitting the ball pretty well so on the 14th hole I asked my buddy to call my drive. He pointed to a large overhanging tree on the right side of the fairway about 180 yards out. He told me that he wanted me to kiss the left side of the tree with a soft draw and end up on the middle left of the fairway. Now, I dont play that much golf so I mostly stick to my go-to shot which is a soft fade, so a soft draw is hard for me. I have the snap hook covered but the soft draw is tough. I made sure to concentrate extra hard during my preshot routine and really trust the shot. I took a deep breath, swung, looked up, and saw a nice little draw go about 8 feet left of the tree and draw to the left of the fairway. Easily one of the best shots of my last few years.

Thoughts on Rickie Fowler and The Masters' tradition?
Noonan1 replied to deronsizemore's topic in Golf Talk
Augusta National has some of the most influential, wealthy, powerful Americans as members. They are above the law - as proven time and time again with the whole race/sex segregation issue. If they say all hats must be worn forwards, then all hats must be worn forward. -
I have one for you. I played titleist drivers all through high school and college. Played college golf for 4 years with a 905 S. I loved the thing, but didn't realize how much distance (hotter faces, longer, lighter clubs) and accuracy (higher MOI) I was missing...Until I hit a Cleveland SL290 this spring. The Miyazaki shaft is straight butter. I can not believe how much better my ball flight is with the 290 vs the 905. probably 10 yards farther and a lot straighter. plus I can work the ball when I need to. I would go check it out.

I like them both but Johnny seems to always bring up how good he was at the US OPEN and how amazing he is. It gets a litle annoying to me...

I suggest the Stack and Tilt swing to all of my buddies that hang back and slice the crap out of the ball. Keeping weight on the front foot helps them hit it a little straighter.
