First hole in one 7/12/2011 Crooked Tree Golf Course Mason, Oh #15 from the tips playing 165 hit a 9 iron Here's the crazy thing... Nothing but cup and actually cracked the bottom of the pin. It was so loud when it hit! We were actually taking pictures of the swings on the hole, too bad it wasn't a video!

Anyone ever painted the lettering on your clubs and filled the numbers? I recently tried some enamel paint that said it would work on metal but not so much. Anyone have any tips? What to buy? Thanks

St. James Bay Country Club??? Port St Joe, Fl
CincyCreech replied to CincyCreech's topic in Golf Courses and Architecture
Thanks for the Feedback. We are actually going to Cape San Blas so thats definitely the closest course to us. We are planning on playing there like 3 times then going to play The Jack Nicklaus Course Bay Point Resort. For St. James we have a handful of bogo deals. More of a family trip and just sneaking away a few times to get a few rounds in. Thanks again. What did you like about the course> -
So i got a 3h at the beginning of the season for the sole reason to go for par 5's in 2. I got a Adams A7os Stiff shaft thinking i would hit as long as i hit my 3 iron. Now i hit my 3 iron 250. After getting used to my 3h i somehow hit it 270. ill put it as far as peoples drives. So pretty much it has become my safe play off the tee. I really have total confidence in that club now but it took awhile to figure out how to swing it..

I feel like im the same way.. Ill go the front 9 and shoot a 2 over par, but then play the back and shoot 6-8 over. Like i was mcilroy choking under pressure. What ive honestly that found out that has helped me alot is working on putting. Another thing think about the courses you play. Think about how many holes you really need to pull the driver out. Now im a long driver, when i hit my driver straight atleast 295+. Now thats 50% of the time it goes in the fairway. So when your on the tee box think about what will keep you in play. Say 380 par 4 you hit something thats 230 your 150 out. For me anything from 150 in 90% sure hitting the green. So instead of wacking driver every hole. Hit 3 iron 3h something that you can hit consistently straight.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2012 To Feature Augusta National
CincyCreech replied to Bo the Golfer's topic in Golf Talk
I almost hated playing tiger on just standard difficulty. Shooting like 58-63 every round. I started Tiger 12 at Tour Pro and at first it was hard, now that i reached the PGA Tour it's getting easier. I think im going to have to jump up to the next level. I hate winning every tournament. IMO it just makes the game less interesting when your demolishing the field. The game is sweet though. I like how they brought back sponsors. -
Anyone use discount tee-time sites like GolfNow.com?
CincyCreech replied to noahl's topic in Golf Talk
I use golfnow.com if it's nice out on my days off twice a week. I save sooo much money from booking it online through them. Yesterday played a course if i would have just gone in it would have been 35 with cart. I booked online for 18. Monday played another course green fee's were 35 with cart at course, golfnow.com 14. I am fortunate enough to live in cincinnati an where we have atleast 20 courses that are on golfnow.com. Ive really never had any problems with them. The rewards points is pretty awesome. Ive had one or two issues to where i had to call into customer service an the experience was great. Really no complaints. -
The thing with blades is there is not that much forgiveness. If you miss the sweet spot on the clubs you can lose anywhere from 10 yards to like 75 yards off the miss shot. Why they are recommened for lower handicapped players is because they have a repetative swing. They rarely ever miss the sweet spot. I've always played bladed clubs, with 7-pw i was on rarely missed the sweet spot. With 3-6 every once in awhile i would hit on the toe it and lose a significant amount of yards. So i recently got rid of my blades and picked up some Nike Pro Combos and i love them. I would highly recommend the VR Combo.

Hybrid Shopping in 2 weeks
CincyCreech replied to ballemore1029's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I just 3h Adams a7os. I like it when i can hit it. It's taking some time to figure it out though. -
Yea I actually just got rid of my r7 425. I loved it but it was done for. I just feel like on my 60 degree it doesn't have that crisp feel anymore. One thing is I have a high swing speed. With a driver length hurts me, i just feel more comfortable with a shorter length driver. Im not really worriedabot losing distance because i feel like i can put it out there. Also second that on if its easy to re-groove your wedges.

When should you purchase new wedges? Just when it feels like it looses it's bounce? Any suggestions on what are a good set of wedges without killing my pocket? Bit the Bullet Purchased a 3h Went to Dicks Sporting Goods just to buy some balls and walked out with the Adams A7 3h stiff shaft. Paid $99 Went out and hit some balls and played a round with it. Wow!! I understand now why everyone is playing them. The only thing is im missing a little right. Like just a little offline from impact. Nothing a little practice can't fix. Now to the drivers. Im in desperate need of a driver soon. Now i know everyone is going to say go hit them see which one you like best. What are you playing and why? Whats not going to drain my wallet?

Discuss your home course (more)...
CincyCreech replied to MSchott's topic in Golf Courses and Architecture
Hamilton, Ohio Walden Ponds Golf Course Usually the course i play. 7000 yards from the way back Tee's. Usually i play from the Blue Tee's so plays like 6800. Right in the middle of a neighborhood. Lots of water and a Ton of sandtraps. Pretty Challenging course has alot of really good holes. Course has really came back looking good this year. Theyve always had alot of problems with the sand traps. Got out there for the first time this year since the course just opened a couple weeks ago for the season and it's looking good. Favorite- Longer Course, has 3 par 5's with a long drive are reachable in 2. If you are a long driver you can reach the par 4 8th thats slightly uphill in 2. 321 to the green (hit the green in one a few times). Also hole #14 318 slightly downhill is reachable. Ive been on the green in one just a couple times. Old mansion is now the clubhouse. Just a good course. And you can play it all year for like 18-25 bucks on golf now. All the time. Least Favorite- Geese Everywhere. Course has had it's problems with sand traps an being flooded. On some holes they are non-playable free drop. This year however they are in alot better shape and playable. Your not allowed to walk the course either. I hate hole number 16 484yd par 4 straight but everything runs off to the pond on the left. Everytime i hit driver since i hit a light draw it ends up either in the pond or close to the hazard. If i try laying up with a wood ill hit in the water. So i usually have problems with this hole. Played yesterday an hit the pin on 17 from 102 out with 56 degree wedge. left it 3 inches from the cup. Looking back onto Number 1 from the green of 16. -
I found it on craigslist. Nice i live in Fairfield

Found a New With Tags TaylorMade Burner SuperFast 9.5 stiff for $100 I use an R7 was Looking to get a R9. I mean worse case scenario i could resell it for like $100 right?

Appreciate the info. Yea i believe they are the ones you are talking about. Here's a photo- I bought them for so cheap so i figured i would go ahead and just give them a try. Seems like it might be a better idea to just go ahead an sell them an just invest in a new set of clubs.
