  1. Yeah I think your right because these balls say that they are specifically for moderate swing speeds, which means they will not give you the spin for higher swing speeds. I think your better spending your money on some E5+s or E6+s. When the B330-RX come out in september though I'm definitely going to buy a dozen and try them out.
  2. Well if your counting pitching wedge, then I use 2, but I only put 1 on the poll.
  3. I agree with you, but I'm just telling you what a local pro told me. I was hitting my friends oil can vokey and it seemed to feel a lot softer than my regular spin milled vokey which felt a little dull.
  4. Mine is Adam Scott lining up a putt. Helps me to remember to stay focused on what needs to be done.
  5. Haha so true... then you really won't be able to control where your head is at. Try being consistent then.
  6. The stand bag would definitely help you more, since you won't be tired from lugging around that cart bag, but I think you should invest in a good bag such as a ping which is what I have or maybe an Ogio or Sun Mountin. Get one with good straps that fits well on your back, and has good slots for your clubs.
  7. Yeah I agree with rebby and longfornothing, you may just be someone that succeeds on the range, but tenses up at the course. Even when your on the course just imagine your at the range, just practicing. Take a nice swing like you would at the range and picture the 250 yard marker as the middle of the fairway.
  8. Wow everyone relax the guy was just wondering what rusted wedges do... so I told him they give more spin. Maybe on a launch monitor it isn't noticeable, but the rust keeps the ball on the face longer which can lead to more spin. Also, if it's not necessarily spin, the rust makes it softer giving it more feel.
  9. I'm looking into buying a golf mat, and net for my garage so I can practice throughout the offseason. Tell me if you find anything good. The Vijay Singh golf mat looks good, but I'm not willing to fork up $229 for it just yet.
  10. Actually the rust gives you a lot more spin. Just think of all those rust particles acting as grooves, gripping your ball spinning it more. Adds to the touch of your wedge. Here's a pic:
  11. Yeah I've been using the E6+ balls for a while, and I have been getting great spin on the greens on them and easily control them with the driver. I really wanna try the E5+, and when the B330-RX comes out I'm definitely going to try those.
  12. Should be fine man, oil can wedges are meant to rust and that gives them a lot more touch. Just take WD-40 or some other rust remover, spray it on a rag and then wipe it down. If you do this for a few days straight it should be gone soon. Also, theres no way this would ever affect your putting in any way.
  13. Yeah I'm a titleist guy myself except for irons, mizuno all the way, but I'm really starting to like some of Nickent's stuff so I wanna pick up one of their hybrids.
  14. Do you think I should get the 3dx RC or just take the bargain on the 3dx DC?
  15. Oh ok yeah well once you get them let me know... good luck on getting them quickly! Nothing like waiting for some new sticks. I have been finding them hard to get though because they are back ordered on golfsmith.com and tgw.com doesn't have them in lefty, so I think I'm just going to buy a 3dx DC Hybrid 17 degrees for now, and then order a 20 degree 3dx RC in a few weeks.
  16. Hey everyone I'm needing a hybrid desperately, and I found the Nickent 3dx RC which I think I wanna buy. This hybrid looks real nice and clean and sets up well, but I can't find any reviews anywhere... has anyone hit this club or know how it performs compared to the 3dx DC. Any help is appreciated. Thanks -Brian
  17. I doubt a company having as much success as them would go out of business. Plus their hybrids are awesome I know a lot of people that have them and I'm going to buy one soon too. They are difficult to get though... I went to Golf Galaxy and they didn't even carry them, and at a lot of places online they are back ordered.
  18. This is because stack and tilt golf swings hit down on the ball, and when your hitting your driver you want to hit up on it.
  19. Haha "pulled it"... jokester! Try taking some weight off your left foot so your not so into the swing right away. Stay back on it, and then let your body do the work.
  20. Jason good points, for me at this time im playing the e6+ which is a really soft ball which I love the feel of, but does not spin a lot. In these current conditions though (wet greens, and not so bad winds) I don't need a high spinning ball. I was using a Nike one platinum the other day, hit it pin high, and it spun back off the front of the green. Personally I would rather attack the front of the green and roll it up a little to the pin.
  21. That's awesome X-Forged... glad you enjoyed it. Maybe one day if I'm out on the west coast I'll play it, but for now I'm stuck in Connecticut.
  22. Honestly, I sometimes play ProV1 if I find one or someone gives me a sleeve, but they are just not worth the money. Yes they are good balls, but I've been playing Bridgestone e6+s and I get just as good feel with a little less spin, but to me I feel better playing them because of the price, and I try to get more performance out of them. Sometimes I use an NXT Tour also, but I think the e6+ is just as good.
  23. Phil and Scott are out... let's go Tiger... Villegas or Ogilvy would be awesome also.
  24. I'll usually use water to get the old tape off. Just soak it and it peels off like a charm. Then dry it off and put the new tape on.
  25. At least he was a good sport about your approach to it. Some people in the tee box next hole to us hit a ball close to us in the fairway and forgot to call fore, and we ended up joking around about it and later one person from our group hit one towards them when they were on the 18th tee.
