  1. One thing to add is how straight or not these distances are. For me dr-5i is a small fade, 5-10 yards, and 6-gw is straight to small draw, less than 5 yards. Driver -- 220-240 3-wood -- 200-220 3-iron -- 175-190 4-iron -- 165-175 5-iron -- 150-160 6-iron -- 140-150 7- iron -- 130-140 8-iron -- 120-130 9-iron -- 105-115 PW -- 90-100 GW -- 50-70 56* -- 30-40 60* -- 20-30 Not the best, but they are getting better. My 2 year old likes to go shag balls at the school with me, so I have gotten in alot more practice this year. It is paying off
  2. I will be playing tomorrow, and Tuesday as weekday rates are cheaper. My wife said go enjoy yourself once for me, once for the baby. We will see how I shoot on back to back days.
  3. My wife does not golf. She hates the game. Fine by me. She does let me go out weekly, and buy all the clubs I want. She figures it is cheaper than the strip clubs or racing cars. My one and a half year old daughter on the other hand...... she will golf. She has been dragging my putters around the house hitting balls, shagging putts for dad. I already have her clubs picked out.
  4. shot par on my local 9 hole. Lost of GIR and FIR's. Dropped my driver and used my 3w all round. Good putting also helped. A lot of 1 putts.
  5. My FT5 that I got from them was Legit. It cracked, I called Callaway and they could not find my serial number, so I sent it to them. Fast forward 2 week. A new Diablo showed up at my house.
  6. I went other because I think that a fit club is best. the age of the club doesn't matter, but having it fit to your swing does.
  7. Any update to this? I was looking at some drivers on their site, and saw this, and am now curious.
  8. Might be nice for a novelty round, but not something that I am going game every round.
  9. Would this hip toward the ball move cause heal hits? I think this is the problem that I am having in my OOT swing.
  10. Update down to 184. been lacking the motivation or time to get to the gym. Two more weeks till the school year is over, then I will hit it full time. Played two rounds since my initial post, and still find that I am making much better contact. Putting is killing my rounds now.
  11. I hate the rain and tornados. Had a tee time on Friday, lost that to weather. Tornado took my Saturday tee time. Looks like tomorrows time is also unlikely, a it has rained 10 ish inches in the last week. I just want to play!
  12. Yesterday at the range. There is a protected tree about 125 out. It has a net strung between two telephone poles that protects the whole tree. I aim for the pole to the left. Pull my driver fully expecting to hit my baby draw, and sure enough hit the pole dead on. The ball bounced about 100 yards back to me. I could spend all day trying to do that again and have no chance. I have been trying to hit that pole with my draw for the last two years. 1000's of balls I am sure.
  13. Age:32 Height: 5'10" Weight: 188lbs. Goal Weight: 170lbs. Started in January at 195. I need to ramp it up now that I have started in the right direction. Observations thus far: None of my golf shirts fit anymore. At the range I am making much more solid, crisp contact. My iron distances have improved, my tempo is MUCH slower, as I have better body control. My irons have a slight draw to them now. My driver which has been a real thorn in my side forever, has started to straighten out. Still a slice, but much more playable. I hope with continued work it will really make golf much more enjoyable. Jay8s
  14. So i hit some balls today, and the palm of my hand on my left hand hurt. I have been playing around with my grip, stronger to fix my slice. Is this something that I will get used to, or am I putting to much pressure on my hands? I was hitting the ball with a baby fade, which was an improvement. Thanks Jay8s
  15. I teach Second Grade in St. Louis.
