  1. Any of those online stores with 3 names run in sequence that have a live chat online help are no good..... Do a review search on store prior to purchase and if it's half to less than half of price everywhere else stay away Use some common sense people....... These stores immediately made me question em and I saw a similar theme to all of em..... Than the price and a quick review answered everything I needed to know Live help chat and 3 consecutive names is a no no
  2. Think the better you get the more you notice....... As I get lower and better in game I have started to feel slight differences in general...... That's where I believe JDM clubs or higher end equipment come into play..... I have hit Miura, fourteen, and many mizuno's and there is a difference.... Neither is really better just different.....the JDM has higher standards I believe.... Mizuno also has a custom dept through tour spec golf and I am sure those would be very close to other JDM clubs..... Also I believe mizuno Japan uses S20/S25 steel instead of 1025...... Most of the JDM clubs are S20/S25 steel...... But yes you pay for quality They have forging houses in Thailand, china but the standards and quality control is same supposedly Endo forge doesn't really mean anything...... They forge to manufacturers specs...alot of clubs are forged there but there is a budget limit set so what you pay for is what you get......you are not going to get a $2000 set of forged clubs for $700 at golf galaxy even though both are forged at endo Endo has many different levels and quality of steel........ A forged 8620 steel isn't going to feel like S20.....no matter what you do, but pretty sure endo forges with 8620 for manufactures if they spec'd it out My next set of customs is Epon...... Endo's premium baby!....... After seeing quality everything at roger dunns looks and feels cheap.. ( aside from mizuno)
  3. I just picked up a near new 910D2 with a Kali shaft at roger dunns for $159..HC and wrench incl....others were $179-199 so they aren't that expensive anymore
  4. all those online sites that have 3 words together in a row are counterfeit clubs, they are all in the 300-400 dollar range and all the sites look real similar to each other............it is probably the same co, there is prolly on 2-3 manufacturer"s producing the counterfeit clubs and they supply all the sites..........i have only been back in golf for a couple of weeks and have figured that out and it blows me away that people been around for a while and know this but ask " what about golfonlinwholesale?........the site looks the same, the " live help/chat" is the same and the prices are the same......if you cant figure that out than you have bigger worries than buying counterfeit clubs, lol
  5. i have switched twice from mizuno and only have one round on i10's....they had the wrong lie, shaft and grip for my swing and didnt want to throw 300 bucks into them, they were pretty worn.....i miss the mizuno's already......your right once you have owned a set of mizuno's its hard to go back to the others...........prolly get the jpx800 pro's or the 63/58? which ever mp series that is their most forgiving, i actually owned a set of hogan apex plus before mizuno and that was a nice club as well
  6. hitting them in the golf store driving range mats is useless............you need to hit them in a real game situation, i traded a set of ping i10's and gave up my mizuno's mp57's........in the store the i10 were great.......no so much out on the course, if your a digger like me you will want a players club regardless of your handicap.......the GI and super GI clubs have huge soles and dont cut through the turf as good and predictable.......if your a sweeper i imagine the opposite is true...........i am going back to a forged iron, i just cant hit a cast club anymore.......if you play cast clubs do not hit a forged iron.......if you catch one pure you will never be able to hit cast again........their is nothing in this world the feels like a pure strike on a soft forged iron
  7. i wouldnt hit a 3 wood in that lie...........i would go wedge, wedge into the green, 9 out of 10 times i would post a lower number
  8. i do!!!!.....i cant hit a driver consistent at all.......so about 4-5 yrs ago i started hitting 3 iron off the tee, 220-240 of a tee and way, way more consistent........i can pure irons even a small 3 iron on a forged club but cannot hit woods or hybrids for the life of me
  9. i have played many times w/o a scorecard...........i dont post a handicap index though so doesnt really matter.....if you do than your handicap isnt really accurate
  10. i bought that set...........they are ok, but i like my clevelands better...........i still have a 52 that i might try again and shelf the 53 cleveland and just see........just the 53 is wore out and the 52 is new
  11. 3 wood off deck is easy shot for me...........the hardest shot for me is driver off the tee!!! seriously, i cannot hit the biggest friggen club in the bag with any kind of consistency whatso ever...........i hit all my irons crisp and clean most of the time and play mp57's...rare for me to catch an iron thin or fat, maybe once a round........but the driver truly has me baffled, maybe i need to be fitted or something but its killing my game and was killing my game before my 3 yr layoff........the smaller the head on the club the better i hit it.........i see guys that are way higher handicappers than me consistently getting their drives in or near the fairway, i topped it 4 times off the tee today and have no idea where its going when i do hit it..........300 with a slight draw when i do " get it" but not very often
  12. just joined......i am 42...been out of golf for 2-3 years, had a heel injury and motocross has been taking up most of my time and money.....anyway decided to get back into golf again........my 3rd day back today and shot a 91 ( real official score no cheating) on a regulation course.........was actually surprised i hit the ball as well as i did........direction and some swing flaws are evident......putting and short game is off but glad to be part of the game again...........just picked up a set of mizuno mp57's and use a cleveland hi bore driver with odyssey (sp)? putter and of course cleveland wedges........anyway came on here to get tips and find out some info, also i have no buddies that play golf so maybe looking for some in so cal to tee it up with.............when i was playing consistently i was a mid to low 80's golfer.....i have never broken 80 though came close.......that is my goal is to get into the 70's.......and yes i know its going to be alot of practice and work......... i probably should be hitting a game improvement club but hitting a forged mizuno will mess you up........i tried out all sorts of clubs but nothing felt like the mizuno's and as i get better my ball striking will get better....already am hitting 60-70 percent of my shots clean........anyway glad to be here and am no stranger to forums........i was on a ton of motocross forums so i know the deal, lol!
