  1. I like being in the sand. I was given a great drill early on and it helped me more than anything. While practicing or playing a friendly round, draw about a 4" x 4" square around the ball. Swing and "knock out" the box. Just remember these key rules: Always follow through and always accelerate through the shot. To vary your distance, shorten or lengthen your back swing and/or open or square up your clubface. Hope this helps.
  2. Double Eagle is good, or the Edwin Watts on Poplar and Perkins. I know the staff at both places well.
  3. Try looking at the Nike Golf Max tint frames and lenses. They are pretty nice and they are specifically designed for golf.
  4. I would try to call Z GOlf and make sure they aren't in business anymore. I got fitted there and it was great. They have the Trackman radar system that monitors about 15 different factors. (Most companies use the Trackman to fit their pros) Also, you hit out into the range, not a simulator.
  5. Wondering the same myself. Did you try the D2? I liked the D3, but loved the D2
  6. Anyone else have experience with the Power Hitter??
  7. I guess I am the only person who did not like the AP2's. I used to have Mizuno MP-32s and I am strongly considering the MP 52's. The AP2's just didn't feel as good as any mizuno's I have owned, nor did I think they were more forgiving than the MP60 or MP 52. IMO.
  8. Ryo- Does it help you get into the "slot" and come from the inside? I have been coming over the top a little. My misses are high and right.
  9. Anyone use this? How were the results?
  10. Yep. Still coming over the top. Weight shift is better though. Watch your video. You can clearly tell that you are cutting across the ball and when you square your club head up, you pull it.
  11. You are having the same problem I was having late last season. Your swing path is coming over the ball. The club path should be coming from the inside. It looks like you are trying to make the ball go left and therefore swinging on an outside path and leaving your clubface open. Also, the weight shift is not there. Try taking your normal address. Move your right foot back and take a couple of swings with the clubhead about a foot of the ground. This should help you get the inside swing path that you need to hit a draw shot. Also, try starting your downswing with your arms first and let the body follow. This usually puts your arms and club into the "slot". I could show you this in 2 minutes on the range, but it's a little harder to explain it in a post. Hope this helps.
  12. Again, he's not asking how to have less putts/round, it's how to make more putts from 10-20 feet. If he hits every GIR, then it doesnt matter how great his short game is.
  13. That logic would not apply if the golfer was a good ball striker. It sounds like you only hit a couple of GIR, were as a good ball striker might hit 13 or 14 GIR, thus not having a chance to "have your short game put you in a position to have a one putt." I average about 29-30 putts a round, but I hit an average of 68% GIR. I would practice a lot of 10-15 foot putts. I think that anytime you hit it that close, you really feel like that is a makable putt. Anything over that distance, try to pu it within 2 ft of the cup. Some you will make, the others are tap-ins.
  14. If you open the part of the headcover with the plastic degree piece, you will notice that you can change the piece to read 13, 15, or 18. If you flip that piece over, they read 13.5, 15.5, and 18.5. All the 909's have the same headcover.
  15. Gatorade on the front side and a Vodka Stoney on the back. Equal parts Vodka and OJ, splash of sprite and a twist of lime
  16. I agree. They do look great. Anyone know where I can get a demo set? I know Golf Galaxy has a demo-at-your-door thing, but they dont offer Cobra products.
  17. Anyone have these/hit these irons. Im looking at the Pro CB's, new Mizuno's or the new Ping S57's. Any thoughts?

How do you do the screenshot? I just got a 29
  19. I have somewhat small hands and I use the overlap grip. Interlock feels weird to me.
  20. My head is about to explode reading this thread. Ganja, you cant be serious?
  21. Why dont you try taking the club back half way (50%) and swing "aggressive". Not every shot has to be a full shot. I hit my 58* 100 yards max. Once i get inside that distance, my swing gets shorter but no less "aggressive". I can also keep it on my chosen line easier.
  22. I just traded my Burner for a G10 if that tells you anything. I hit the G10 on a Trackman launch monitor and the G10 had lower spin and gave me 5 mph more ball speed on average. I launched both about the same, but got a little more carry and a lot more roll out of the G10.
  23. Anyone else out there actually playing these irons??
  24. Were you fitted or did you just hit the standard black dots?
