I was born and raised in Tyler Texas, and now I am a full time chemical engineering (no i'm not a nerd, I just have a nerd major) student at the University of Colorado in Boulder. I started playing golf when i was about 7 years old, but I quit playing completely in high school.
My 21st birthday is here in a few weeks, and my father gave me a set of
X20 irons. I opted for the steel shafts based on the advice from a local pro. I'm not sure if that was the best idea at this point because I hit my fathers older
irons with the graphite shafts better. Hopefully I can change that.
Currently I am absolutely obsessed with golf. I have played 9 holes and hit on the range every day for the past few weeks. Well... every day but today. Sadly my thumb split open while playing yesterday, and it hurts way to much to hold a club. I am planning on taking lessons this summer and getting a trainer to tailor a workout program for golfing.
I randomly stumbled accross these forums a few days ago, and I am very glad I did. I can't wait to discuss the ins and outs of this great game with all of you in the future
