  1. You're far more reserved than me....that's good though.
  2. Look, everyone from the Royals bat boy to the pope knows Bonds juiced. At the time, baseball didn't care. The public MADE baseball care. God only know how many players amped their game via 'roids.....including some of the pitchers Bonds faced. I don't like the man....he's arrogant, and a liar (I'd repsect him if back in the start of all this he just admitted it). But we don't get to pick who breaks records. Steroids has to be realized as part of the game. Only NOW it's cheating.
  3. I'm not even sure how this can be an arguement. The way the SEC dominated can't be overlooked. The best the Big 10 had got obliterated and humiliated by the Gators (and I don't see the idea that Michigan would have done better holds any water). "What ifs" are useless. In all honesty,, I believe LSU or Auburn would have done the same thing to OSU. Look at what LSU did to the "Mighty Fighting Irish" With the recruiting power of the likes of OSU, Michigan, USC, and Texas things can change quickly....but if there were a college playoff, we'd have only seen SEC teams left standing (provided they didn't have to beat each other up like they do during the season). No doubt about it, in 2006 the SEC was king.
  4. I'm trying to imagine how aggravating it was for the poor yokels on the other end of the cell phone. Of course.....they might have been playing golf somewhere also.....
  5. He's a crying shame. The guy could be one of the greatest ever, but I gotta lump him rigt in there with T.O.: a guy whose talent is a waste because it was given to him. I couldn't guess if LA will dump him or not. They are kinda "damned if you do, damned if you don't".
  6. Marine Construction Manager along the Texas/Louisiana Gulf Coast.
  7. I'd have to say Jack at this point becasue he ran the full gauntlet of a career and has the win record to back "the greatest" status. Now, Tiger certainly appears to have the ability to pass Jack on the win board. But only time will tell that. It's kinda like Babe Ruth vs. Hank Aaron vs. Barry Bonds.......different times and different technologies will always lead to debate. To me the only way to not debate is to go with the "greatest of his time". But, as I sit here on June the 20th 2007 I gotta go with Jack because he "been there, done that". Tiger's still in the middle of his career and alot can happen over the next several years.
  8. I certainly agree with this. Woods greatness isn't because he can maintain a pinnacle of play at all times. Even the greats go through slumps, whether it be golf, baseball, etc. What makes him unique is that he manages to hit that pinnacle of play more often than any one else. Granted at that level of play, there are going to be guys with enough confidence and ego to go after him and beat him. But he's tops, and until he melts down for consecutive years, he's always going to be considered the guy to beat.
