I go to stockcar racing pretty regularly. It is just like you NASCAR except not nearly so fancy.

I see golf is more expensive in the US. As I previously said I paid £80 for my membership, I either paid in January or February, can't remember which. Anyway, it costs £8 for a day ticket if you are not a member, and if I had not paid for a membership, I would have paid more than that in green fees already. I can play the course in around an hour and a half as I usually skip holes 7 and 8, the layout allows this to be done. The club is fairly junior friendly, but there are rules, you are not allowed on the 18 hole course, or the putting green unless you are accompanied by an adult or have a handicap of 12 or better. I satisfy neither when at the golf club. I have seen someone's reference to Cruden Bay earlier in this thread. It is a fairly good 9 hole course, more challenging than my home course. I am actually considering getting a membership their next year, as I have had problems at Peterhead. The main one being bullying in the clubhouse. Word in our clubhouse is that Cruden Bay's 9 hole course is better than our 18.

I know a few people who have more than one driver in their bag, I do not know why. I knew someone who didn't have a driver (he had broken both it and his putter, and has now replaced both). I was also unsure of how many clubs you are allowed. Thanks for your help.

Could anyone answer the following; 1. How many clubs are you allowed to take round with you during a round? 2. Are you allowed two of the same type of club? e.g. a normal driver and an oversize driver

Info on building a home putting green

Right, as promised, I will give you an update on how my green is doing. Not so good unfortunatley, having forgotten to cut it for a while. I have done so earlier today, it isnt too bad. I now have a pin, made by my grandfather, who is also trying to find me a large barrel to use as a roller as I cannot get a proper one (no-one anywhere near sells them). I will eventually make a larger and more advanced green. My father also had an idea. You see, our garden is on 2 levels, with steps between the two. The second level is the lower. He had the idea of having a pipe to putt a ball through between the two levels. I am unsure if we will do this or not. -
I will play at any time of day, but I probably like noon, or just after, about 1pm. I can end up going round the 9 hole course 3 times in one day, on a weekend. Tomorrow is the last day of school before "Summer Vacation" as you call it, during which I like to play at the time mentioned, otherwise, whenever I get the chance, usually about 5pm on a normal day.

I like Maxfi, Topflite and Precept. I buy boxes of second-hand golf balls usually. They include various brands. I have difficulty with some Nike balls though.

I am not sure of the average width of my home course's fairways, but the #6 seems to have widened since I was last there.

I am a member of a Peterhead Golf Club. I am only allowed to use the nine-hole course. I paid £80 for my membership, I am not sure how much that would be in US dollars, according to http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi , it is $145.849.

I seem to be able to hit better at the course than the range, although, I think it is more to do with the tee than the mat. So, I do not really mind the mats.

I have a cat and a rabbit. We also have a guinea pig and a goldfish, both of which really belong to my sister. My cat is called Jack. I do not know his breed, nor his exact age. He is about 8 years old, don't hold me to that though. He is pictured below; My rabbit is named Dandy. She is about 2-3 years old. She is pictured in her old outside pen (she is normally kept in a hutch), I have since built a new one; Note: All of those pictures were taken with a mobile phone's camera.

Info on building a home putting green

I have actually started to make a home putting green, with my parents' permission of course. It will have only 1 hole and will be quite simple, yet adequate for us. I just started today actually. My back garden has grass, which is raised (as you will see in the photo) already, so half the work was done for me. Tomorrow, I will look for a roller to flatten the grass. My father has also given me help with this. It will look better after a few month's maintenence. I do have the time to carry this out. -
To watch : soccer (Peterhead FC), stockcar racing To play: soccer

Just out of interest, what is your favourite brand of golf ball? I do not really have a personal favourite, I will try any, although, besides "TA 2 ING", and "OPOW" versions, I find it difficult to hit Nike Golf balls. So, which is your favourite?

I dont really know about this, but I would say that I was at a course on Saturday which was 5225 yards in length. I found this too long, and skipped from the 13th to the 18th hole. I am used to playing about 18 holes at least in a day, but, as it is a 9 hole course, going to the clubhouse halfway through. I am a teenager, and would say that courses are too long, not too short. The course I normally play on is 2237 yards.

I have played Tiger Woods games on Xbox, PS2 and PC. I only own the last one, but have played the other 2 at friends' houses. I like Xbox game the best, but PC is good. I wish Tigervision existed in real life!

I am just curios as to which you lot prefer. Personally, I like long, wooden tees. I can hit plastic ones, but only with about 7 iron-PW, not any other clubs. I play much better with the long white wooden ones, and I have plentiful supply of them. Which do you prefer?

A rules question about sand traps. Are you allowed to hit the sand before the ball? I have been told that you aren't, but have also been told that this is permitted. Can anyone clarify?

Cheers for the welcome. I use texan golf clubs, but I have a Howson driver. I had two clubs which broke, but got free replacements. I only play about 7 holes at a time usually. The reason being that at my home course, juniors need a handicap of 12 or less to play the 18 hole course. I play the 9 hole, but usually skip 7 and 8. The reason for this is that it is a large hill, 6 takes you down, then 7 back up, then 8 down and 9 is flat more or less. So, you can just skip from the 6th green to the 9th tee.

See the title. Greetings from the home country of golf. I am a junior golfer, 14 years of age with a handicap of 25. I play regularly at Peterhead Golf Club's 9 hole course. I have also played at nearby Longside. On Friday I am going to Cruden Bay.
