  1. I solved the problem...the grips I got were Winn with a .550 opening and stiff, so I found the same ones with a .600 opening and flexable and they fit perfectly....ended up using the Winn grips on my wedges.
  2. I would exclude greens and fairways, because personally if you can strike the ball and putt the ball you're going to do it no matter where you are. I've got to say layout is the most important thing. If the design of the course is in conflict with the surroundings then the course will never play right. If the slopes are natural, greens in logical spots then the course has the potential to be great. Some of the best courses were just plotted on the land long before land could be mass moved.
  3. Quote: It seriously corrected it to that? Is that a website or something? I wonder if there's a website with a gallery of Giga Golf pictures (a giga gallery if you will). That's the name of a company I applied to for a job so it was the closest spelling it could find. Anyways does anyone know how well the new Nike 20XI's hold up over time, I'm tired of using a new Nike One just about every round. Its getting too expensive for a poor student.
  4. Quote: Your spelling of Acushnet's flagship brand says a lot about your ability to assess quality golf equipment. Its the damn auto correct on my iPad....sometimes I really hate this thing. Then again it is awesome for all the apps to use at the range.
  5. My home course has them all over the place with the last time I was there I counted 79 traps between fairways and greens. When the course was first built there was something around 150. I do alot of work directly for the owner, so throughout the summer we may be adding even more at places I saw that there should be one, including making what was originally a large pond into waste land. After all is said and done there will be 115 bunkers, about 78 of them along fairways, with only 50% or so coming into play for the average golfer.
  6. Never really tried Titlist. When my Dad was still sponsored he never got Titlist, so I refrain from using their stuff. In the early 2000's I played TaylorMades, and now I play Nike's. Got to admit, at first I was against using anything Nike for golf. But now everything I use is Nike, and that's just because I truly believe that it is the best stuff out there.
  7. I've been rocking the white belt for quite a while now...I found one of my dad's from the 70's back in '02. Since I've always like wearing long pants on the course, and prefer black I thought the white belt really looked nice. Looks better now that I got the new Nike TW white belt, to go along with my collection of black pants and white red or black shirts. Also recently switched to wearing white shoes, so the white belt doesn't look quite as out of place as before.
  8. If I would have to pick one that everyone knows of I would say Oakmont...I've been there multiple times and it is just a stunner and I spot something new on it every time. A course that not many people have heard of is a local course, Lancaster Country Club. The 2015 Womens US open is going to be held there. There is three sets of 9 (two of the sets make up the old course, and there is a new 9 known as the highlands) as well as a 6 hole practice course. It's a very old course, designed with old techniques with greens up high and long slanted fairways. If you get a chance to look up the course, take a look...
  9. I have a Nike Vr Driver and 3wd that I'm looking to re-grip. I got a set of grips that unfortunately do not fit. The old grips are already off, so does anyone know if there is a certain size grip I need to get? Is this sizing constant across the Nike club line or is it just to these woods?
