  1. I currently own a couple of set of clubs including the Copper Eye2+ black dots. Looks - Personally not too fond of them, they look like a prehistoric bird to me. The copper does make them look better though. Performance - They hit pretty well. They are known as all-rounders. People with low and high handicaps can use them, which I guess means they are forgiving, yet workable. I don't work the ball too much, but they do have a good amount of feel for cavities. But in comparison to my Titleist DCI 762's, they lack in buttery feel. In other words, they will give you feedback, but not the soft feel you might seek from a forged club or a blade. The TT DG shafts launch the ball mid high and are decently accurate, but again not as accurate as the DCI's with the same shaft. Value - They seem to hold their value pretty well. I can't give you a comparison with the ISI's. If you are seeking for a forgiving club with decent feel/performance, then these are a match. If you are looking for a sharp pin hunting club with great feel and trajectory look elsewhere.
  2. you lucky #$%@s! chaps, that is.

  4. I think this poll should be dynamic because I think my vote has/will change...
  5. what about that seems like a joke? The division between North and South Korea is a remnant of the cold war, hence their communist regime. As I mentioned afore, only China Airlines is allowed to fly into their restricted airspace. And for the lifetime membership - are you surprised that the fee is too low or too high? I'm sure there are memberships for cheaper and the most expensive one here in Seoul in like 2 or 3 million. That of course doesn't include the yearly fees.
  6. That is in fact the course I posted about. I guess they are ready to open up for Capitalism. I can't remember the exact figure but life time membership was I think around US$50,000 - 60,000.
  7. I guess my post may not have been of too much help since I just outlined what might be (to my best guess) one of your problems. I would suggest, if you haven't, to read up on some swing mechanics. I myself am too lazy to read actual books, so I look to online resources when I need some help. Reading will help you diagnose your own problem (good investment for the future of your game) and jot down some tips that can be helpful to you. Everyone swings differently and some tips work for some people while they do not work for others. Two websites with online lesson tips are: golf.com and golftipsmag.com . I'm sure there are tons others. When I have problems, I work from the ground up and check my basics first. Then I read up on my specific issue and jot down some tips that I think will work for me - not too many or it will just clutter your brain which is the last thing you want for golf. Before heading to the range/course I read up these 3 or so tips and visual my swing in comparison with the ideal corrected swing and make note of what I think I am doing wrong and how I can fix it. Sometimes the solution will work right away and other times it will take 2 or 3 visits. It's arduous, but just as rewarding.
  8. First of all try to eliminate your outside-inside swing path as much as possible. Even with solid contact (square) if your downswing is on a inside path after impact you will impart side spin on the ball and slice-ville it is!
  9. my qualitative judgment of clubs is that: they CAN improve your game by 5~10%, but they WILL hurt your game infinitely depending on how ill-suited the clubs are for you
  10. That may be so. But I also believe most marketing is fed to use in a time-release capsule. Manufacturers hold back on technology and slowly reap in the benefits of their R&D.; I do like my Scotty's and have never had a problem with the impact or roll. Oh and I also like the adjustable lie factor of the 2 Bar Blade. Will let you know how it works out.
  11. shorts! I want to wear shorts!
  12. verisign should add "DDV: driver distance verification and ADDF: anti-driving distance fraud" to their internet software. That being said I average between 280 and 290. My 983K is hot! (I will vote using 280)
  13. with all the nxt recs, check out this website for some fun.. nxtube.com

    Sim Golf

wow, that looks awesome. takes me back to the sim city days whence I played more games. Too bad I'm too paranoid about using bittorents now with the feds cracking down and all. they have to come out with the next p2p sharing tech...
  15. well said - totally agree with you, but I also think that you are not one of the people that whiplash is referring to
  16. Machines aren't necessarily not as good. They can isolate and target specific muscle groups. As long as your goals aren't to become arnold, you can reap plenty of benefits from a workout with machines. Just don't forget to hit the free weights once in a while. A workout I used to go through was to use free weights for any given muscle group (I used to have a chest/shoulder, back/bi, legs/tri day etc) and the towards the end of the workout move to the appropriate machines. This will make sure you incorporate ancillary muscle groups but also "wear" out the muscles with the targeted machines.
  17. Has anyone seen good results from this putter? I am a Scotty fan (own three: Newport 2 Tel3 and a couple of Studio Stainless) but ordered one of these due to: I want a center shafter and face-balanced putter => my swing stroke is pretty much straight back and straight forward so I am looking to benefit The Rife has weight adjustabilty options => I love the soft buttery feel and weight of the Tel3, but its not too forgiving, I like the results from the Studio stainless, but would like some more weight and feel The face technology on the Rife allegedly offers a truer roll after impact - also there is much less loft than on traditional putters. Putting for me is absolutely a game of feel and the most subjective in golf for me. Just wanted to hear any user opinions. Thanks.
  18. you make it sound so easy. How many yards did you start with? I started out hitting my drives about 250, 260 when I started and now hit about 280, 290 - would most likely never have gained 100 yards. How many pounds of muscle did you gain from lifting? I am guessing not all 100 yards are from strength gain. Also do you feel you lost some flexibility? hehe so many questions.
  19. Same here. I used to be into weightlifting, but with golf consuming so much time, I just try to get in 3 - 4 workouts a week at about 45 mins a session. The gained strength is good, but I also like to stretch and keep loose and flexible. When in college on the squash team, we used to do yoga - if you think its for sissys try out an advanced session. It's very rigorous and the winding down relaxation at the end always put me to sleep - soooooo relaxing and good for your body and soul (I am not a hippie ). As for cardio, I feel too much like a hampster running on a treadmill, so I will try to engage in a fun sport that requires aerobic respiration. My cardio of choice is squash.

    Squash

Just make sure you don't get hit. I've heard its pretty painful and might make you throw up the pain is that great.
  21. gotgolf?

    Squash

The number one selling point of squash is always that it burns the most calories / time alloted for any sport. I have seen on the outside of numerous squash courts a calorie table that compares the calorie burned / 30 mins. Squash is always the most.
  22. Anyone care to post hotties from international tours? I will try to post some hot "Seoul Sisters" - that may prove to be a challenge...
  23. Started with a generic thesandtrap.com one. Then changed to Kramer from Seinfeld. The one where Jerry's jealous girlfriend paints him. Then switched to a pic of a Rolls Royce Phantom. Currently it is a pic of a Panerai Luminor Marina.
  24. I am not missing the point. I admitting it is an un-PC term. If anything it's insensitive and thoughtless. Don;t go around calling people stupid. I'm sure before the whole PC movement lots of people went around using the "r" word for jerks and *******s. Don't become one yourself. I already admitted my wrong-doing.
  25. Yeah I was feeling iffy about the word, hence the substituted @. But I was just steaming - usually I try to be as PC as possible.
