  1. 35 for me and the golf gods have been beating me up since day one.
  2. I agree on the golfing buddy. Good luck to you and hope you can get her into the game.
  3. Actually you do.. The best playing partner you can ever have is your fiance. My wife and I play together ever weekend and next year are looking to play in the league where she works.
  4. Roody took the words right out of my mouth. Go play if you feel comfortable the best learning you can ever do will be on the course. I still get a little tense when someone comes up behind us but you paid to play the hole so I say play it they can wait and let them play thru on the next hole. And yes it's harder than it looks but is so much fun. Welcome to the game
  5. Shoot, I was hoping no one heard that.
  6. When no one is behind us and the course is slow me and my wife do this. I have at times just dropped a few balls and we tried those what if shots and we learned a lot from them to.
  7. Yep good luck to you. Hope all goes well. Heck, I just wish I was good enough to play on a league
  8. I'm in as Team SC. Late as usual
  9. Give it some time and it might grow on you. it did me and I've been stuck here about 15 years. But, when it comes to golf you can't beat it.
  10. Finished out at 104 today. front 9 was 14 over and the back 9 was 18 over. I totally chocked on the 11 hole par 4 posting a nice 5 over, it's something about this hole that always gets me worked when I walk up to tee off. But on a brighter note, Saturday while playing the back nine at our local muni course I did save par on three holes and that was first for me. I'm getting better
  11. NO need to retype since I do the samething you do
  12. Tee up my irons all the time here and was shocked today at the course to find out so many others did it to.
  13. My best game ever even if the score is high. First nine I shot a 45 with three pars. The pars were a first for me. Then on the back nine I lost it, shot 55 with 5 of the holes being 3 ballers, that totally blew my score. So I walk off +28 over par. The one nice thing I learned what I need to do the next time in order to lower that score. My wife first nine she shots 47 and then on the back nine she shots a 48, AHHH she finished out at +23 over par. Second lesson learned it's always great to play with your wife. There's a level of competition heck it's had to explain. That's all I have to say about that.
  14. Played 9 this morning and finished 15 over probably would have been better had not been for the cement drainage pipe at the end of a water hazard !!!!!. I was on the 18th hole about 150 yards from the green with a long carry over a water hazard so I decided to hit a little short and play it safe using my 8 iron, I got a really solid hit as I was watching the ball dropping really close to the edge of the hazard it fell into a ditch hitting a cement draining pipe bouncing back out and landing about 50 yards in front of me. That was the highlight of our day and got some good laughs.
  15. My longest which has only happened once was 250 yards but on average all mine usually go 200-210 yards.
