  1. I have looked everywhere but I can't figure out whether the boys Junior Am will be on tv. I'm almost positive it was on last year and it looks like the girls will be on the golf chanel. ANyone know?
  2. I have used it a good number of times. I think the usefullness of it depends on the teacher using it. I use it to check my sequencing. One of my problems is that my hips start at the same time as my shoulders, rather than before. So I would simply make a backswing with less hip turn until the red image turned green. I think the red green thing is more for practice swings, not full speed shots. If you have a good instructor, it can defintley show you things that no camera will. But remeber that there are things that K vest can't show you like a 2d camera will.
  3. According to Titleist you can custom order a driver with the nv 65 shaft. However, it does say there is an upcharge. If you really wanted that shaft the 905R had the NV 65 as a stock shaft. Should be pretty easy to find a used one.
  4. I've hit several lofts with the voodoo shaft and i found it pretty easy to hit. I really liked the weight of the club. If possible, try out some different lofts. I found that i liked some trajectorys over others
  5. I was wondering if anyone has seen the new surefit system for the 909 titleist drivers. I have been able to hit all the new stuff, but i have not seen the interchangable cart. I didn't know if it just recently was sent out or what. any ideas?
  6. for anyone who has been to a major, I would like to get a seat at the 18th grandstand tomorow. My question is, how early should i get there? when the gates open, or later?
  7. I've had that kind of pain before. Could be a sprain. Just go easy on it for a while, and if it doesn't go away, see the doctor. It actually benefitted my game, as i spent more time working on my short game.
  8. I have the 13.5 f4 with a 90 gram v2 shaft, and i have no problem getting it up in the air. I also don't have any problem keeping it low when I want. It's a great club.
  9. I made a tee time for two during early june at the stadium course, and apparently it was 150 $ for two people. Golf digest said the green fees were 235, so i was wondering if anyone knew if they were doing maintenince, or what because 70 a person seems cheap for that level of course.
  10. yea same here. zbs take a couple days where ap2's will be 4-5 weeks
  11. I play an immense amount of golf and usually replace them every 2 1/2 to 3 years
  12. Just got the ZB's with the tour velvet grips. I've heard that you're supposed to wash new grips with warm or cool water (cant remember), soap, and soft towel. Is this right?
  13. i put these in the computer at the course if that helps
  14. I've played for a long time, but i just now signed to get a handicap. today i enetered 12 rounds that i have played this past year. Some were at the home course, and some were not. However, it showed my handicap as NH. I have heard that 20 rounds are required, 5 rounds, and 10 rounds. What do i need to do to get it show me my index? thanks
  15. I think it depends. For a high handicapper, a lightweight graphite shaft is probably the way to go. And nearly every wood today has a graphite shaft.
  16. I had the White steel 5 offset for a long time, and loved it. I tried a friends XG (not the #5) and didn't think much of it. Not terrible but I didn't like the feel quite as well.
  17. I wouldn't reccomend putting to a "circle" or area. You should be trying to make every putt. On short putts, pick out a small target in front of the hole like a piece of grass or sand or whatever next to the hole. A good way to practice looking at your target and stroking it is to just look at your target and not the ball while you putt. A good drill to practice speed is to hit puts with your eyes closed and try to guess how far short or long the putt was. Lastly, after you have gone through your putting routine, just look at the target and hit it without any delay.
  18. Try taking your normal stance and ball position. Then place a tee an inch or two inside of the ball. Then put your club behind the tee just as you would do to the ball. . It's going to seem funny but to actually focus on looking at the tee, and not the ball. Try to hit the tee, and theres a good chance youll hit the adjacent ball pretty squarely. illustration: --- (feet) I O --- the O represents the ball and the I represents the tee.
  19. try this drill: http://www.golf.com/golf/instruction...565247,00.html
  20. I'm pretty sure higher swing speeds are going to create higher spin; that is certainly the case with irons.
  21. try mytpi.com theres tons of good excercises and info
  22. Adam Scott, although my all time favorite is tigers old swing
  23. If you're going to sit in a grandstand, try to find one where you can watch the players putt on one hole and tee off on the next. If you want to sit at 18 you better get there early.
  24. To those who say "bulking up" will hurt your golf game, you obviously haven't seen watched Tiger Woods lately.
  25. From what I've seen NBC's HD coverage isn't very good. About a third of the time the cameras were standard def. In my opinion CBS has the best HD golf coverage.
