Hi, I am quite confident using my sand wedge and when I hit a green it checks up but does not stop straight away or backspin. Would this be because of my wedges or because of my contact with the ball.

Will reshaft bring Cobra driver down?
mgolfer replied to Dave's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Hi, I have the cobra f speed ld regular shaft with 10.5*. I hit it slightly higher i think than when I rarely demo other drivers, but I hit all the drivers I demo roughly the same distance. The only driver i hit further was the Hippo Hex for some reason (one shot) when I got a 10-15 yard increase. What I love about the cobra is that on the first tee I hit a 5 foot high slight pull terrible shot, and it still ended up about 200 yards on the left-middle side of the fairway, and thats the reason I love it. The cobra's shaft is only 55g though and I may replace that in the future for more feel. -
I really like spain, the good weather and amazing golf courses :)

In my opinion, snobbery is the worst part about golf. Often, people stand from the other fairway, or nearby and watch you tee off. If you do not hit a good shot they joke with their playing partners and I think that is just childish. Also another arrogant part of golf is when you play a par 4/5 and you are obviously out of the peoples driving distance but they wait until you are much further away before taking their drives just for the sake of trying to look much better than they are. Weedy 13 year olds who think they are amazing because they spend their life at the golf course can't carry 270+ straight so I don't know why they wait for you...but the best part of golf for me is then watching the arrogant people hacking their tee shots sideways . What is the worst part about the golf for you? mgolfer

Lol that's funny and true...tiger is unstoppable.

Yeah, that's what we do.

That made me laugh so much Alex. Sometimes, if we don't go to the range before we play 1 mulligan for 9 holes as anything right of left of the fairway is basically a drop needed on my course I play at. Also if it is a practice round we sometimes hit some extra shots out of bunkers and some extra approach shots if no one is behind us.

How to increase distance with the driver
mgolfer replied to mgolfer's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
Cheers for the tips guys, I will try these out! -
I have reached a point where every shot has the correct trajectory which is straight or has a slight fade on a normal hit. Are there any tips for increasing distance as I would like to be driving the ball over 240 consistantly. Would weights help me significantly or are there any drills to achieve maximum power? Thanks.

In my opinion, I love hitting flop shots. I only learnt how to do them recently but it has come natural to me and I just enjoy the feel of hitting a high, softly landing shot. I find that a controlled draw is the hardest shot to play. Although i am a high handicapper, I can hit fades well and every club down till my 5 iron very well...its just the 5 bad shots a round that do me :( lol So what are your favorite shots and the shots that you find hardest to play? It will be interesting to read some of the responses. mgolfer

cheers guys, I will take a look. I did look at rockbottom but they are only i the us and they said that buying a club from the states can cosst £50 ($100) to ship so that racks up the prices rediculously.

I used to use the Big Berthas and if I was you, I would get the x18s/x20s as they are for slightly better players and I feel that after you get a bit better, they are easier to hit. Thats my 2 cents anyway

220/230+ average straight but I have suddenly got my driver slice back :@

What is the different between taylormades rescue clubs and the actual fairway woods made by them? are they the same thing or is there a difference.

callaway xtt, 1 year old, very good bag but starting to wear slightly

Hi, I have recently learnt how to hit my woods properly (off of the fairway and tee) and I was just wondering what would be the best fairway woods to buy that are under £60. I would want them with shallow faces so that they would be easy to hit off of the fairway. I saw a Benross v6 5 wood for £40 but I could not seem to find any reviews so I held off buying them. Please also suggest some that are a few years old so that I could have a look on ebay. N.b £1 = $2 roughly.

Which Ball Do You Use In The Winter?
mgolfer replied to shortgame85's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
The HX Hot will definatly go further as it is a distance ball. Great ball though, the only thing is though that it does not spin too much. Though I do like them. -
Urgent - Driver swing weight broken
mgolfer replied to mgolfer's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Cheers I might have a go at that. I also realised that if I send it off it would be more like 15-20 days due to the christmas season. -

Can anyone help? -
Hi, I was on the range the other day with my Cobra F Speed LD. I hit a normal shot, not a scuff of any kind and my driver had a loud rattle inside it. I phoned up the store and they said that my driver swing weight had broken and it would take 10 days to replace. I am going away to play some golf this weekend though and wondered if anyone had any suggestions on how to fix it and also more importantly if it actually would effect my drivers performance much. Many thanks

Hi, I am sure that Private Equity means that it is owned by shareholders but Non-Equity is owned by private owners and is not on the market. I could be wrong though.
