  1. 82 yesterday. Of the top scores in keeping track of my handicap, I have added 4 in the last 7 days. That makes for a pretty good feeling.
  2. Thanks man. That seemed to be what I thought, but something about the wording had me thrown.
  3. OK, can someone clarify this for me, up until now I have only been playing 9 if I did not have time to get in the full 18. As I read this, does this mean that I take par plus, for anything over my handicap. This is tough to explain, going to attempt a scenario. I finish only 17 holes, my course handicap is 12, coincidentally, the 18th hole is the 11 handicap on the course and is a par 4. Would I card a 5, or a 3? I guess it is the part that reads "plus any handicap strokes" that throws me off. Matt
  4. 77 on Saturday and 79 on Sunday. Saturday I was hitting the driver well, Sunday that went away a little but but the putter picked it up a little.
  5. The loudest driver I have ever heard was last year's Cobra Speed. Sounded like a Little leaguer hitting a baseball with an aluminum bat. I prefer the sound of the Sumo2 personally.
  6. I would not have sold my turbo Ford Lightning, and would still be going to every dragstrip I could find every weekend.
  7. I am a Oakley guy through and through, have bought at least one new pair of sunglasses every year for the last 10 years, but I have never got into their watches. The last time I was in getting my prescription changed, the guy had this watch on and it is giant. I liked it, but its too big. For myself in the watch category, Im TAG heuer, have the Aquaracer Chrono and just ordered the golf watch in white (plan to change the band to black after labor day and see if I like it) One day hope to have a collection like the fella a couple posts above. Would love to have a good Brietling, Rolex, and Omega.
  8. Has anyone hit these, or currently plays them? I really like the look and the price tag, but cannot find anywhere in central AR to try them out. Reviews are few and far between on the .net also, but Golf Mag obviously was happy when reviewing them. Thoughts, comments?
  9. I love it. I can actually stop it with no problems on the greens. If I am budgeting, or when I am having a bad day keeping the ball in play, that is what I hit.
  10. I love listening to the radio while I play. Usually it is just my buddy and I as my home course lets you play 2somes, but when I go to a different course and get with a foursome the xmradio either stays in the car or I get a vibe for the people Im playing with and if they dont mind, I play it sometimes. I like it, but dont know if I could deal with an ipod, I cant get the earbuds to stay in my damn ears.
  11. I want to come see Bella Vista, from what I have heard it is alot like Hot Springs Village. Buying my lot there was the best move I ever made, and I dont even live there...yet. I love the idea of 8 courses within minutes of each other.
  12. I really like the Wilson Staff Fifty. If have bought at Wal-Mart for $16.00 a dozen, most other "sports" stores are $18.99 I think. I really like the way these balls feel. I have told alot of people I am around about these, I think they are an EXCELLENT ball for the price
  13. Welcome. Another Arkansas guy here. What city?
  14. Sweet! Recommend any good steaks in any of the areas while I am in town?
  15. Just finished my plans for a 3 day Memorial Day weekend tour of the north part of the Robert Trent Jones golf trail in Alabama. They have a special for 3 days unlimited golf for $144pp. We are playing the Schoolmaster and Fighting Joe at The Shoals in Muscle Shoals, the Highlands and River Course at Hampton Cove in Huntsville, and the Ridge and the Valley at Oxmoor in Birmingham. Chose these cause they are the quickest to get to from Central Arkansas. Anybody been on any of these courses??
  16. Played there pretty soon after it was reopened. Was actually where my wife and I went on our honeymoon. I thought it was amazing. The nicest course in Arkansas is probably one that will never be seen by a HUGE majority of people. The Alotian. No website, cant see it from the road, extremely high end. http://www.arkansasbusiness.com/alotian/cover.asp Number 3 in Americas greatest golf retreats behind Augusta and Pine Valley, not bad for Arkansas anyway http://www.golfdigest.com/golfdigest...retreats2.html
  17. I did not realize they stopped making the Nike collegiate stand bags. WOW! Ive had my bag longer than any of my clubs, hell, probably by double
  18. 77 yesterday. Let 3 go on the last 3 holes, one for birdie, the other 2 par, all 3 less than 8 feet. (70.0/126)
  19. Little Rock guy now, grew up in Batesville. Welcome to the site.
  20. I made the ride to Sedona when I was there in December. Completely different scenery than the other courses I played in Phoenix. Really liked it.
  21. I have almost gotten the Ashworth character tattooed on my calf. I had myself completley talked into it one day and there was about a 3 hr wait in the shop where I got my other one done. Since that day, I havent had the urge to do it again.
  22. Hey, these are both great ideas. As a certified choker, I am going to use both of these in the future. +1 rep power.
  23. Is this what the instruction professionals look like in NW Arkansas? I can be there in around 3 hours.
  24. This is hilarious. I have added to my signature so I never forget it. And now, for my info just so the post isnt pointless. I play Nike ProCombo irons. I really like them. They give more forgiveness on the long irons, while leaving me the ability to work the ball with the short irons. Tell the truth, a full forged blade 4 iron would probably scare the shit out of me when I looked down over it to carry a pond on a par 5.
  25. We are headed to Scottsdale, AZ. Going to play SunRidge Canyon, Las Sendas, Club West, Foothills, and one other that will be decided when we get there.
