  1. Yeah I think it only works in Chrome..at least it was free!
  2. Well, if so, then just know it's gonna get you. It will happen less if you can get your core strengthened and stretch. I went over a year until here recently. It's hard for me to stretch it, because my hammys are really tight and always have been. I googled a bunch of lower back stretches and just about all of them I could feel the pull. So, I'd find one that is convenient and you don't feel like a goof doing at the course.
  3. EDIT: New upload is a couple down. I like many beginners am working on my swing and would like to get some outside input other than people I play with. When I look it still seems my downswing is worse than backswing. Any input is appreciated. I don't have an account with the two supported video sites yet, but I just registered Swing Reader on my phone and what better place to test it than here. I'm not sure if you will be able to view it, but it worked on Chrome. http://www.swingreader.com/video/view?id=JStfTxi6
  4. My guess is when they do have a draw or go fairly straight, I somehow put the golf swing together on that one. My only guess on why I'm hooking rather than slicing is I've slowed my tempo down some allowing me to get to the ball better. If that even could work. They really did over night stop slicing for the most part...of course there are the occasionals. Usually with driver (over swing) or longer irons.
  5. Not usually. With 100 in I can pull hook. I find I usually will pull hook if I slow my swing too much or I stay down too long with my driver. My ball flight changed from slice to straighter or baby draw if I swing correct when I tried to stop killing the ball and focused on impact. From 7i down is when the hooks come out. I'd guess some of it's poor alignment at the target. I'm getting my distances right, but the pulls or occasional slice are of course off the green.
  6. Well, when I say I have a good grasp, I feel I'm implementing what I've learned. I did have it inside for some time because somebody said shallow it out, but then I just recently went back to how I did it and what felt best and it helps some, but the downswing faults are still there.
  7. What's funny is I used to slice. Now I hook. It happened out of the blue.
  8. I know exactly what you mean. The head is a huge obstacle. It's the reason my swings when I record in the backyard ARE different than on the course. Love the movie and there are times that if it's slow, I'll drop balls over and over on the course to prove to myself I can hit the shot. I don't get frustrated visibly on the course. A good friend who is a single said, you aren't good enough to get upset at golf yet. I've been doing this since I was 12, you are doing it at 33. I only switched teachers because one moved. Although they did have different thoughts about swings. I'm also done with lessons, because I feel they are a joke. What I mean is they are selling you more than teaching. I got the, you don't have a bad swing and you can get low with your swing...
  9. Yeah, it was pre coffee. I meant to type OTT for over the top and somehow put P's all over the place.
  10. I don't have Sciatica per say, but I do suffer from SI joint issues which does affect the Sciatica nerve (which can mask Sciatica). I've had this for years. I can go out and play a game of full contact sports and be ok, but if I lean wrong, BAM! When it hits bad, it's hard to walk, bend, even put on socks. It's worse in the morning as well, but as you walk and go through the day it will loosen up in the mild days, but if it's bad, it's bad. I have a really good chiro that I visit once or twice max when it's bad and over the course of a week, it fades. I've learned to NOT rub it. I don't do the roller bed or lay on a tennis ball or even use a heating pad. I just let it work it self out. The joint is the size of a suture on your skull and just jams up causing your muscles to tighten around it and a big bundle of nerves are right on it, so it's lovely. That is why it's bad to rub it or try to pop it. The best thing that I've found is like mentioned above is working on your core muscles. Don't try to look like Brad Pitt, but just strengthen them. Drink lots of water too.
  11. I'm getting lost in the golf swing and have only played for about a year. My big picture mistake is OTP, but I know there are tiny ones leading to it and cause after it. I've taken lessons from different pros, play with singles who have played forever, read and watched and I'm now lost at sea about my swing. I hear bump first, drop to slot, pull shoulder, shift weight, etc and I know this is all timing, but it's jacked up my mind and now my swing and mind are screwed up on the range and course. There seems to be tons of info all about OTP and there are multiple reasons for causing and the effects that can happen from your own timing w/ swing. How much of OTP is caused from your backswing and getting set compared to your downswing? I feel my backswing isn't terrible, but when I start the downswing, I can't get that "feel" if of not going OTP in full speed. Slow I think I can do it, but when it comes to hitting or full swing, it's back to OTP. If you don't follow this above, that is because that is how bad my OTP thoughts are in my brain! Time to fix it!
  12. A few of us have decided to make a quick trip to Vegas for the opening weekend of NFL and are trying to find time to play some golf. None of us have played in Vegas, so I'm asking for suggestions. I've heard drive out towards Lake Meade, but we are going to be on a time crunch. I'm trying to stay pretty close and one that isn't a turd. Thanks in advance.
  13. I can tell you that when I was actually in shape and not 10-15lbs over weight (I blame the baby!), I found that water did help with weight loss. I didn't chart it, but I was in a goove eating well and going to the gym regularly and decided to cut all cokes and stick to water and tea. I did this for at least 3 months and kept my same routine. I dropped at least 5lbs that I normally wouldn't have. So although, it wasn't a ton more after that period, it still helped. You aren't going to lose weight by just cutting cokes, unless you drink a 12 pack a day and if that's the case you are in trouble already. Water is nature's energy source. Drink it. EDIT: I didn't look for the link, but we had a debate about Diet Coke and the addiction their false sugar can cause...seemed likely, but I still drink them :) Soooo good...
  14. I've taken a few lessons indoor and outdoor. Personally, I prefer outdoor. Like mentioned above, it's good every now and then to see what you have been doing pay off. For me, there are times that my mind is the biggest opponent and when you hit a smooth baby draw when you mean to, it gets you going again up top. Indoor was fine because there weren't as many outside distractions, but I prefer to see my shots good or bad. So basically, if you are the kind of person who doesn't need to see results while working your lesson, I'd go indoor because of the better ability to focus with less distractions. If you are like me and need results while you work and are visual about it, then I'd go outdoor.
  15. You are playing the wrong game if you are upset with others and not just yourself....
  16. Lifted white 2010 Nissan Titan Pro4X that might as well have the license plate "GLBWMR"
  17. I'd give advice on your swing, but I'm still working mine out so it would not be the best! :) However, I've found my 2 main roots of me topping the ball is from looking up or flipping and not hitting down on the ball.
  18. Outside of my OTP swing, my alignment has always been the biggest obstacle for me somehow. I've done just eyeballing it, I've tried aligning with club, I've looked at my target and drawn a line back to something in front of ball...and still am off. It's becoming frustrating to have to try and make solid contact and when you do, it's left or right pin high outside of 15-30 feet. There are times that I might be right and adjust my back foot to help me align and then setup based on where my target was and of course that is trouble. The one thing I haven't done is go to the range and set a stick down and work it that way. Does that eventually just feel right based on how your body/you look at your target?
  19. So I just got my new clubs in and I opted to go with a 52 rather than GW from the set. When I got it in, it had the spinner max or whatever its called. It has the little bubble in the shaft near the grip. How is that shaft supposed to create more spin? Oh yeah, it's on the Mizuno MP T-11
  20. I went to see what it was about and paid the full evaluation. I've only been to a few lessons, both in and outdoor. Outside of rathing being outdoors, I felt they were hard selling from the second I walked in. They also had more gadgets than whats her face in Tin Cup. Maybe I crossed them off too soon, but for me it just seemed like it was too much for too much if you know what I mean.
  21. I've just hit the year mark and know your pain. I had about a month to play multiple times a week and had three lessons. During that time I went from 105 to low 90s and three 85s. Since then I haven't had time ti practice and old habits are showing. I'm making time to practice and get after it before it slips. For me it's short game. If I get that under control even a tad I can get back down. You have to practice or you will stay stagnant with good shots here and there to trick you into thinking you are better than you are and I'm living proof. I think I should walk out and fire high 80 or low 90 and then I can get right to 100 with no practice. As an example I shot 6 over on front and 20 over on the back. Just focus on the good and practice! The beginning is there, but consitance comes from practice.
  22. I've flipped and I still flip at times. I've found that most of my flipping comes from swinging over the top, which is even harder to fix. These two things are a battle on every shot. If it's not one thing or another. However, the feeling of actually hitting down on the ball, feeling and hearing that click, seeing the ball flight how it should look, was the best feeling I've experienced in golf. That...ooooh this is how it is supposed to be moment. It's a circle of love and hate! I'm nowhere near fixed, but there are the good shots that make it all seem worth it. Just try to remember the good stuff, because this game can drain you of patience. At least me...
  23. Personally, I think you should all meet in the middle with a piano belt. Black and White, done. Plus you can all dance in a circle to Michael Jackson...it's black...it's white...yeah yeah yeah.
  24. Ok, I've been reading enough and now it's time to post. I've posted. Thanks.
