  1. Thanks for the encouraging words......
  2. I had a similar thing happen to me in a tournament a few weeks ago, but mine was for an eagle (net double eagle).
  3. That's my mistake swing as well......heel shots are the best. When it happens to me, it's usually because I get a little antsy and come down quick and steep from the top.
  4. The Bears suck.......they'll be hit by the injury bug this season.
  5. That's BS, my Lions aren't even on the list......LMAO
  6. That's a sawed off swing, and works great to keep the ball low and straight......I use it all the time.
  7. Because golf isn't a game of perfect, it's a game of misses. Beside's, do you really have your clubs dialed in to the exact yardage?
  8. You're suppose to start at the top, take a short waggle back and swing through......Sort of like cocking a baseball bat back just a bit before firing.
  9. You realize that there is no backswing, that you start at the top, right? You can have as long of a pause at the top as you like.......
  10. It's never the Indian........
  11. I made 3/5 birdies the other day not worrying whether I made them or not. All were 10' plus.....I'll take 3/5 any day of the week. Maybe when I'm a 2.6 I'll have a different view on things, but I'm not, and I believe this method works well for hackers like myself.
  12. We were talking about this, buried in some other thread, but I can't remember which...... At any rate, I write it off as hokey. You'll never see me on the first tee, driver on my shoulder, waiting to swing like Griffey. It's sillyness. Maybe as a drill to fell the correct slot, but never in play.
  13. I dig most courses.......but there's something about a true links course that tickles me inside. I hate it when courses try to be too nice and feel contrived.
  14. Here's a link in case anyone wants to check it out...... http://www.chambersbaygolf.com/layou...=173&page;=3342
  15. Which links courses are you referring to that don't look as cool as tree lined courses? Just curious........ Looking at the pictures, it looks beautiful and seems to be a true links course. Problem is, I've read some reviews that say it's no links course and that a lot of the design features feel contrived. It's true, it was an old rock quarry, and they "made" all the topography with machines. But it looks to me like they did a pretty remarkable job, at least from the photography. Maybe I'll just need to drive on up and play. Hell, it's not that long of a drive from Portland anyway.
