  1. I started playing the Cobra Baffler 3H instead on my 2 iron; for me it was a measured improvement, especially in the rough. It just has a bit more oomph (for me)... I have the 19 degree with the regular graphite shaft. I agree that mine is about 10 yards longer as well...
  2. Plain chrome all the way for me....I play the CG16s....

    Carts or Legs?

Well, it depends.....I live 1.5 miles away from a very nice public course.....the front nine would be a fine walk....the back nine a bloody nightmare! It seems that there are 5 or the nine that are 1/4 mile between tee boxes! The nine hole that I play I walk almost always....but the distance from the green to the next tee isn't like walking a long par five. That being said, if I had the opportunity like Goonsidious I would ride for sure!
  4. I feel that it should not be allowed at PGA events. I understand trying to get every advantage possible, especially as an amateur, but I agree that it does lose at bit of the spirit of the game. I am all about the history and sprit of the game! Now, this may just be my opinion getting in the way....which I admit.....I just don't like 'em! But hey....who am I to judge?
  5. Same here....simply put....you play the course, not the other way around. Don't try to force shots. If you get into trouble, make the smart play, get back into good shape, then carry on....
  6. Oh, I don't mean maintenance like that.....I mean maintenance as is playing the best shot for your game and the course from shot to shot....not always trying to hit the ball as long as you can....maybe best described as shot maintenance and playing the course??
  7. Well, distance is not always what it is cracked up to be.....course maintenance is the key to shooting lower scores.... That being said......I would say most amateurs, especially those with handicaps greater than 5 need a regular flex....unless your club head speed is hitting 100 mph or higher on a regular basis.....stick with a regular flex! Play golf with your head....not your....well.....testosterone producers!
  8. I enjoy walking a lot more....keeps me loose....and somehow more focused....
  9. Cleveland CG16's, regular flex steel shafts here....just started playing seriously again after a 10 year off period....discovered the beauty of hybrids as well....so in essence I got 2 Cobra Baffler H-Rail hybrids although not technically this year....a 3 and 5....man I LOVE those clubs!
  10. I do not understand either. My father has very, very bad knees....he is going to be 65 this fall and plays 3-5 days per week. He rides quite a bit....but, when we play and its hot enough outside that his knees do not hurt.....we walk. I carry a light Callaway bag with Izzo straps, at 36 I can still do that no big deal.....in 20 years? If I walk, I will probably use a cart.....if people bag on me for using a cart....well, then I guess I do not care....especially when I turn in a sub-80 score! I like to walk as much as possible....I just feel that it lets me experience the course in a more personal way!
  11. Hello all. I have come across a fantastic deal. I received a cobra rail 5 hybrid for free from our high school golf coach. He and i teach together. I already have the 3 rail hybrid and absolutely love it! I am an average, 35 year old amateur golfer. My 3 hybrid has the motore 65g Regular shaft. The free (absolutely brand new by the way) 5 hybrid has the 60g lite motore shaft. What is the real difference between the two shafts? Will I see a difference between the two to make ANY difference???? THANKS! Mr. B
