an inside out swing has your arms working more in sync with your body as opposed to cutting across the ball and pulling your arms towards your body as well as the inside out has a better swing through the ball (your arms extend outwards more as oppose to turning over right away and going around you). correct me if i'm wrong.

i think chatting with buddies while on the range is perfectly acceptable. as long as it's not obnoxiously loud and distracting.
-
haha yeah i noticed this. they were quoting someone from here blasting rory calling him an idiot or something.

just read the article in gd. definitely a scammer

an [hs] match around 3 weeks ago. double, triple, "dang, **** this. just chill you're already 5 over", lip out a 2.5 footer for par(after a 30+ foot hilly lag putt) the next hole, then 6 pars.. so finished with a 6 over 42.

Rescue club - Titleist 585.H vs. Taylormade Rescue TP
jcrew replied to 755Forged's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
he mentioned in his post that he was considering the taylormade rescue tp NOT the rescue dual which you were talking about all through your post. the rescue tp is definitely different than the rescue dual even though i have the rescue tp right now, i can't really tell you much about it because i'm going through a major swing change right now so I haven't hit it much at all. sorry about that. However, someone I know tried out my club at the range (he's quite a good player) and he worked the ball amazingly. Called out every shot: high draw, high fade, low draw, low fade, high straight, high low. etc In terms of workability, the rescue tp definitely does not slack. also. i would go with around an 18* + 1 rather than a 21 to fill your 3iron to 3wood gap. if you have a 17 degree, you can always back up a little and hit it a little shorter but you can't do that the other way around. -
hitting irons longer isn't necessarily the point. they are for accuracy. so what if you hit your 7-iron as far as my 6-iron, as long as where we get to where we need to be accurately, that's what counts. also.your point about the lower lofts still being able to hit high clean shots that dropped. that's like taking your regular 7 iron. and then hitting your 6 iron that still drops like your 7 iron. you should still be able to hit a high clean shot that drops softly. i think it has much more to do with the swing and head rather than just lofts.

thanks. honestly it was a bit of an impulse buy after minimal hitting into a net. also i'm reworking and fixing my swing right now as it got terribly flat over the season and it almost feels like starting anew as i'm trying to get my plane up. because of that, I haven't hit too much of it. What i have wasn't pretty but only because of my swing. On the couple that I did hit well, it felt great. Really nice solid feel. I can't accurately judge trajectory, distance, workability, forgiveness as my swing's in the gutter right now. but definitely like the setup a lot better than my old burner rescue. it sets up square with no offset.

haha yepp thanks i was taking some of those pictures with my cell phone. kiss my ass. honestly why did you even feel the need to comment if you had something to say like that.

again, older ^ in my r5 in my cobra 3 wood. a bit too light actually. 55g ^ love this putter c-grooves! r7 iron rac black tp 56*12

the mizuno irons: (a 6) 905r: pink nv. stiff. since the shaft goes all the way down. it made it a hell lot stiffer. a bit too stiff. but i'll work up to it. rescue tp:
-
current. added 905r + switched burner w/ rescue tp both before the 2 additions [IMG] [/IMG] my odyssey white steel #1 other bag w/ my old mizunos. i believe my dad bought them in asia a while ago. so I started with those.
-
taylormade r7's. r7 tp's are even a reasonable option if your ball striking is strong for your handicap. but yeah, the r7's are quite forgiving and decently workable. they're really great imo
-
cobra fspeed ld. 3 wood 15.5 stiff nv 55grams it's alright. I liked it better than some of the other ones i tested but i'm sure there is better. the shaft definitely feels too light. especially since i get a little crazy with the hands/arms rushing sometimes

Getting Clubs slightly above my game?
jcrew replied to Arsenal Forever's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
yes. and I really don't understand what's so shocking/surprising about me saying that. In all my high school matches a fair amount of people are crushing the ball past me. (and I don't exaggerate with my yardage. my average drives are a little over 225). in districts this past week, 2 kids in my group were hitting a good 75 yards past me, and one of them was straight in the fairway every time too.. so. this makes me feel inadequate, yes i realize this is a stupid insecurity but I can't help wishing I could hit it further than I currently do. what i said above relates to this as well. i realize this blah blah blah. but yeah I have a stupid but irrepressible desire to want to hit much longer. -

lucky you. i just turned 16. am just under 5'7 and all of 125 pounds. average drives are a wimpy 225-230. =/ i would imagine you hit your 7 iron further though? i hit mine 150 . but yeah i was expecting to look down at your signature and see some costco set or something. but nah stick with what you got. unless you're gonna trade your shizz in and just switch around cause i can definitely relate to the club hoing.. only do that if those clubs feel considerably better than the ones you currently have though. -
no need to be so condescending but like some other people have said, there's no need to match the rest of your clubs to your putter or vice versa. There's nothing wrong with owning a 100 dollar driver and then a 800 iron set. whatever works for you works. Given, once you improve and your handicap drops down, it would definitely be a good thing to consider investing in some nicer, name-brand equipment.

100. just depressing. my game needs some major revision/revamping
-
the lofts are damn strong
-
district tourney @ south riding golf course (northern va) my chipping murdered me. it honestly cost me around 10 strokes. it's sort of depressing because that's been my strength the past 1-2 months.. however my driving was pretty awesome. almost dead straight everytime. I missed maybe 3 fairways with driver. and those were still playable. downside was they were quite short. barely pushing 220. figured it out on the range after though. wasn't turning back enough so i had quite an abbreviated backswing. but yeah. 8 over front, 9 over back, 17 over total (44+45=89)
-
your review definitely sang it's praises.. sounds good. it's not really, really unforgiving though is it? my swing is good for my handicap though. i can hit a decent 3 iron more often than not. and yes, the ability to work it left right low and high sounds awesome.. i'll definitely be considering this.

All of a sudden.... duck hooks

big one: make sure your hands/arms don't get ahead of your lower body -
nice! i haven't had one yet=/ but i've gotten what is essentially the same... i was 150 out on a par 5, 3rd shot.. holed the ball... if this was a par 3 150 yard hole, it would've been a hole in one..

i currently have a burner rescue 19* honestly, i'm not a huge fan. it's pretty easy to hit (sometimes i just screw up because i try to pull a wood swing on it). however, my natural swing is a draw.. (lately i've been pretty inconsistent with that though) so on a good swing, the closed, offset face really puts way too much draw on it. also, i'm not a big fan of the super high ball flight. i'm considering. the titleist 585h, taylormade rescue tp, adams idea pro, and cobra baffler pro.. which would you guys recommend and do you think it's even worth switching? btw.. that hybrid is my gap between 3 iron (190) and 3 wood(220+) ... right around 195-210
