  1. I agree about Tiger's head status. Mental prep is ALOT of the game. I played a little on the early "Nike Tour" and realized that I could not make a career of playing competitive golf. Those guys were GREAT and they weren't even the BEST at that time, and I couldn't beat them. It's a game to me, a nice day with myself or Buds, away from work.....enjoy the day. I still hit the rock pretty good but really don''t get to upset over a bad swing like I use to .....it's a game. Read this then ask yourself the question U asked here ....Can U ? http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1069280/index.htm Good Luck
  2. I have full liner bag and mid-size grips. They are a little trouble to get in and out now and then but I have found that there is a sweet spot when strapping them on the cart that helps the flow. Some of the bag guys will tighten the strap down to the point that U can't hardly get a club out....back it off some until everything slides well.
  3. I won a 5H Baffler model by Cobra, afew yrs back and hit it so much better than my long irons that I went and bought a 3H and 4H of the same model and love hittin them. Find U some good used clubs that someone couldn't hit.....ebay, craig's list
  4. I carry SW, GW, PW . I like to pitch and run so I 'll use the 7i ans 8i also. If' i can't get it done with those I bring out the Wi.....yep, Wonder iron..... the same one that Corey Pavin used last week. A game of skill with lucky out comes.
  5. Alabama....the "State" of football.
  6. Age 58 ...220lbs....5'11" home gym 3-4 times a week with no more than 50lbs . Do 16 reps per exercise( mostly upper body with some lower twist pulls) for about 60 minutes. Really going for the range of motion more than the bulk ....but was surprised when i started gaining weight due to fat to muscle change. I do some cardio on an elliptical machine but to much and my knees swell. It's hell gettin old ! Golden years my a** ! I stretch out on days that i play, using the weight resistance. Happy Holidays
  7. I started hacking at it at the age of 5, (1958). I was lucky that my Uncle worked or hung out ALOT at the muni course, so I was with him most of the time and learned the game. Played off and on thru the grade school yrs and then quit totally until college. I was on football scholarship and got hurt and ending my dreams of making alot of $. I took up with the "golf professor" and got back into the game with a passion. Played in SE area tourneys and did ok for awhile but lost the passion, ( burn out was my generation's term). Quit playing again until after marraige. Started back playing 2-4 times a week with my buds for many years ...until mid life showed up and I quit for 10 yrs. I played once a yr at a reunion tourney. After this passed I picked them sticks up again and play couple times a week now. I shoot in the 50ties to 60ties ....any colder than that and I stay at home....{8^ ]. I presently carry a 7.4 hdcp, and ENJOY every game......good or bad. I figure the rest of my Life is gettin to short to be gettin my blood pressure up over a game! I'll Hit'em till I pass on out of this world.............Happy Holidays
