2. I use a 9.5° with an Stiff shaft and my swing speed is 112 mph. But I have the same issue, around here there aren't a lot of places to get fit so you can't try other loft/shaft combinations. I feel that I'm too, losing distance because of the loft of my driver.
3. Welcome! Greeting from Mexico.
4. Got the chance to record a video yesterday. I'm trying to hit more up with the driver so I don't get a lot of back spin. Last time I went to a fitting my AoA with the driver was in between -3 and -4 so it was very severe. What do yo think? Second swing I think was a bit if a pull. The range it's quite short as you can see.
5. Been listening to this song a lot lately.
6. Played horrible this week. On tuesday, played 9 holes the course is very wet so it's shortened to mostly par 3's. Some par 3 are 260 but to a green that it's quite sloped so they turn quite difficult, plus some holes were played in heavy rain. Shot +5. On wednesday I payed 9 again, but played the two par 5's as par 5's, shot +1. Yesterday, again 9 holes, shortened, shot +5 with a triple bogey in number 3.
7. Again with 78 (+1 and +5) back nine were horrible. Two double bogeys, one triple and an eagle. 😫
8. Ah, yes! My bad hehe. So, would watching some vids from that key, would help? I tried today to be "steeper" in my backswing with the club and getting at the top ready to not get steep on the way back, if that makes sense hehe.
9. Sorry to bring this thread back to life, but I've been watching a lot of videos about this topic because I think I came too steep to the ball. I have tried some of the recommendations on those videos but I haven't nailed the feeling. Is there some other drills to shallow the club? Also, is this has to do with Key #3?
10. 78 today, +1 and +5. Second round was a mess. I was trying a new feel and I need to work a bit more on it.
11. Played quick 9.. +2... all pars, two bogeys. One was kinda bad luck, but the other one, again, lie where the ball is below my feet, shank, but this time I didn't went into the water. I really need to search why I can't hit that shot.
12. Thanks billchao. I posted those from my iPad and couldn't find how to embed them, sorry.
13. Played yesterday, 76 (+2, +2). Had some horrible shots, especially dealing a lot with lies where the ball is below my feet, can hit it solid. Send it into the water both times with a PW in my hands. I'm not hitting it fat, it's more like catching it thin, with the toe and I get a push fade. Horrible. Then also struggled with 40-50 yard approach.
14. I was watching this video fro @iacas I think I will try it.
15. So, I got the chance to practice yesterday. Took some videos, what do you think? Tomorrow I will post m6 thoughts. Took this from the 7 iron video
16. Played today and it was a decent round, had some trouble hitting my PW, I shanked one and the other catched it a bit thin and into the water but managed to hit 71 (-1). Other than that it was a good round.
17. Played yesterday, shot 77 (+2 and +3) with a double bogey and a lost ball. It was hard, it's been raining a lot so the course was very wet that the ball was hard to find even in the fairway. Then the greens were wet and I hit some of the slopes and my ball was where it landed so it was very hard to hit the putt when usually at normal speed that ball would have come down near to the flag or somewhere different than staying in the slope. 😅
18. Hi guys! I’m amazed that this thread it’s 4 years old! I’m back at playing regularly, will try to get some very videos but in the meantime, is there a thread I can read how to practice changing my path from in to out?
19. So, after a long abcense from golf and the forum I’m back at playing regularly, I’ve been playing two times a week this last 3 weeks and somehow haven’t lost completely my game. This last Tuesday I played 16 holes, two were closed. Shot +2 in the first nine and Even for the other 7. Ive been missing a lot of shots to the right, big pushes.
20. Thanks guys. I don’t remember the Angle of Attack but yes, I have that issue of hitting down with the driver. And as for the fitting, I mean, I know they work, in fact I confirmed something I guessed, my irons were 1 degree upright and I felt that my swing wasn’t fitting anymore. And yesterday I confirmed that, so they are taking them back to standard. And changing the grip. About the 7 iron, I don’t remember. I remember there was a 7,000 rpm number but don’t remember if it was with mine or the new one. What it’s bothering in my head is the driver, I think first I should fix he AoA with the driver and see what happens with my actual driver cause there was no difference in the distance and then, I should look for changing it. So, how can I fixed that? If you can share some links, would be awesome. Thanks!
21. Hello everyone! After some time off the golf courses, I finally have the chance to play again, which makes me very happy. From some years ago my swing has changed and I haven’t updated them, so I thought that it would be a nice idea to get fitted and see what can new clubs helps. I thought that my game was going to be bad but, last week I shot +4 (with a triple bogey and a double) in nine holes and 79 in 18 holes (2 triples and 2 double bogeys). So yesterday I went to the fitting cause I think that I’m loosing driving distance because my driver it’s quite old, +10 years. But what surprised me was the distance. I already knew RPM’s were high with my driver so I want something that gets them lower, but the distance was my main shock. My swing speed was around 110 to 113 mph, the lowest being 107 mph (the first ones) and I think the highest was 115, thou the distance was 264 yards total. I was like, ok, I was not expecting that but ok. RPM’s were around 3,500 to 4,500. Then they gave me the M4 and made some adjustments, the head felt nice but then again, distance was the same and the RPM’s the same. He told me it was my swing. This is not to show off but I was a bit confused since in the course I play there is a 320 par 4, uphill and I en dos up in the front bunker. My ball with my driver never rolls. But ok, if that’s what the monitor says, I’m good. Then i look in the web and found that some charts said that for that swing speed 280 yards is normal. The I hit some irons, my 7 iron and it was going 170 yards with a lot of spin. I don’t recall the number exactly but were high. Then they have me the new AP2 irons with the S300 shaft and it went 206 yards with a lot less spin. So, this is we’re my confusion starts, how come with an iron the RPM’s can lower more than half from my previous iron and with the driver, they don’t? Unfortunately we don’t have here a lot of places where to make fitting and they don’t have all the clubs combinations. But now I’m hesitant if I should buy that driver or look for a trip to US to find a good fitting and buy it there. What do you think? Thanks!
22. Thanks Golf Lug!
23. This is nice! Unfortunately I was late but I did practise something yesterday. My 5 minutes of today ate already done. I wake up early and hit a few putts. With my putt I try to keep the head square thru impact cause I tend to close it by turning my hands... exactly as I do with my iron swing. :(
24. Went last week to the kooks concert, those guys are good.
25. Hehehe thanks man!
