  2. Oh!!!!!!!! I love you guys. That's the one. Now if I could only find somewhere to buy it....?? Cheers buddies!
  3. Hey folks, I noticed this grip on a Ping putter years back and have been trying to track it down. Its horrendous puke lime green colour.... but I think its beautiful! Its very tacky / sticky to the touch. Almost surely a Winn Ping grip. A weak description I know, but it may ring a bell with someone. I'd like to find a pic to send off to Winn or Ping to ask them about it. I've emailed Winn but they were a bit rubbish. Anyone able to help me out? Google and all those obvious routes have been tried. Cheers David
  4. Geez I dunno, I really can't see how anyone would overtake The Don this year coming. The world rankings are based on a rolling two-year average so he'll be good enough even if he just plays averagely. For the same reason I think even contemplating Tiger for the number one spot is crazy talk. His year has been poor, so he'd need to win everything he enters to even sniff it. And we all know he's going to be very, very streaky this year.
  5. Quite a few people your age have these aspirations, and who can blame them? All I would say is A: Never bet your life on anything, have a back-up, finish school and go to Uni of possible etc. BUT... don't allow anyone to say you can't achieve your dreams. They don't know you. Only you know yourself. And B: visualisation of shots and mental attitude count towards success more than everything else in the game. APART FROM SHORT GAME - BE AWESOME. Live not at the range, but on and around the green. Good luck buddy.

I know what you mean, comparisons between bum-kissing journos could be drawn with respect to all players at some point in time or other. For McIlroy it was obviously after June. But Tiger gets it 12 months a year even when playing at his worst (which he has clearly put behind him). Also I think you're referring to the Nedbank money-grab, which Westwood won. McIlroy won the Hong Kong Open, a full Euro tour event.
  7. I'll drink to that buddy

  9. I'd be thinking Sergio, Luke, Westy and Scott are looking good for wins. In any order. I'd be mighty happy with those four to win personally.
  10. Why aren't there more posts about the President's Cup? Especially with Tig and Stricks getting a spanking... I was looking forward to a good read. Two pages? pfffff
  11. Its a judgement call but its best not to touch the line of putt at all if it can be avoided, even if you think you are a few inches outside. If I was in charge of the R&A; I would propose an amendment to the ruling to allow tapping down of spikemarks within two feet of the hole. Rarely does a ball get deflected from its line outside this distance (unless its a particularly evil spikemark) because its speed is sufficient for it to be maintained. However around the hole where the ball is supposed to be travelling slowly, the ball can be seen to move off at a rather alarming tangent!! This said I do indeed realise that telly golfers could do with being chased with a cattle prod to prevent the current glacier pace at which they play and this little rule change adds a few seconds on to each hole. Still, I think it might improve the golfing experience enough to warrant this. Thoughts?
  12. Anyone fancy stumping up some predictions for el Tigro? I say a couple of -2s to come over the weekend. Maybe -1s....
  13. I wouldn't necessarily agree with that. We could nick pick at that avatar for ages, pointing out several different "faults", but really as has been pointed out its scores on the doors at tough tournaments that matter.
  14. That stat says it all for me too. Haven't seen it before, so thanks. Anyone who picks Keegan Bradley has to at the very least come out and admit their biased opinion, and if they do, fair play to them. From a non-biased golf viewpoint, its always been the animal, the Don. And I'm biased!!
  15. He's not a racist. But he is an idiot who ran his mouth way outta control trying to be edgy and funny. For the record I think Scott should sack his ass for bringing the game into disrepute. The minute a caddie gets more attention - be it at the side of a green after his boss just won or in a private session which he knows will go public - than the player, is the time to tell him cheerio.
