Hey guys, I decided to start a thread pertaining to our weekly fantasy picks. I'm hoping this catches on and we can keep posting our picks to win/play well in the current week. Basically just post who you think will win, from the more likely candidates such as Tiger, Rory or DJ, to sleepers deeper in the pack that may win or just post some good numbers and get you bonus fantasy points. Im in a yahoo league so we need 2 "A group" guys, 4 "B's" and 2 "C's" So i picked a) Phil and Bubba b)DJ, Bud Cauley, Bo Van Pelt, Keegan Bradley c) Matt Every and Stephan Ames You don't need to list this many guys, just a couple or even one is fine

From what i've heard, he is the only one of Jack's FOUR sons not to go pro! Its actually very funny. But like i said, he was the best 6 I've ever seen. He was a great ball striker.

The putting stroke is actually supposed to be an arc, not straight. If that was a typo or I misinterpreted I apologize. But if you didn't know about the putting arc, you're welcome!

Luke Donald is one of the best irons players and he doesn't even use blades. so i thought why do I need them. To me, the look like a blade at address. And for the purpose of this discussion, not to tute my own horn, I am a pretty good ball striker. But if Luke can use a little extra forgiveness, then im sure i can too. I generally hit a straight ball with my irons and only shape the ball when i have to, but these the MP59's are very workable. So unless you like to shape the ball a lot i would go with the 59's (if your interested in them) for the added forgiveness. I agree with GaijinGolfer in terms of the the shafts being a big difference. I got the KBS shafts in my irons, and I absolutely love them. I used to have r7 tp's with stock shafts and i never actually noticed the shaft. But with the KBS shafts it is actually amazing how nice they fell. So yes, definietly get fitted/re-shaft old irons. It will improve most peoples games I'm sure.

In terms of putting, I spend most of my time hitting putts inside 10 ft. I put 10 tees down every ft, starting at 1 ft. I start at the 1 ft putt and don' t move to the next tee until I sink 3 in a row. I try to find as flat a spot I can do this, so I can focus on speed and not the line. This drill REALLY helps me get the feel for the speed of the greens. Not to mention this just builds confidence and gives you something to refer to on the course for those knee-knockers. You can also time your self how long it takes to complete the drill and sink 3 in a row at the 10 ft mark. I don't usually time myself, but if I remember correctly, something around the 30 min mark is a good time. In terms of a lag putting drill i have never really had much of a drill, however I just read in Golf Digest a drill Paula Creamer uses. She puts two tees one 20 ft away and one 22 ft away in a line (this is an uphill putt). And she tries to stop 3 in a row inside the two tees. Once she does, she does the same drill but for downhill. The first drill will help you sink those birdie putts!

Not my favourite tournament. Im not a fan of the celebs. And I probably wouldn't be watching if it wasn't the winter or if it wasn't at Pebble.

You guys seem to think she is trouble. Before the year started I said DJ would have a lights out year, including a major. Once I saw this, I knew it would be! You need to be relaxed in golf, and who is better to help you relax more than Paulina Gretzky? He will be the happiest man on the golf course and I think his future wins will prove me right.

This may be a very very late response...haven't been on in a while! So, if over the whole summer and most of the winter you were not able to figure this out then I would get a shaft with a lower kick point. It will help get the ball in the air quicker.

Not sure if this counts, but I caddied for Steve Nicklaus (Jack's Son) in the nationwide pro-am a couple years ago. On the 18th hole one of the days, he his approach shot from about 150 to 2 ft left of the pin and 5 ft short (left himself with an uphill putt). I said nice shot Steve, he goes, "No Paul, its short." I wanted to say, Sorry JACK my bad. But I bit my tongue so I wouldn't get thrown off the bag. He was by far the best 6 handicap I have ever seen. He was no Jack Nicklaus, but he reacted to bad shots as if he was.

Alright yeah i figured i would be able to hit it, it just wanted to know if there was a big difference and if i should make sure i get the R11 back...but thanks for your reply!

Hey guys, I got the R11 in october and have been hitting it amazing...but i snapped the shaft today. I went into golftown, they are going to send it back to taylormade. However, they said Taylormade has just been sending R11s' to replace them. At first i thought that was great, but now im thinking about it, and i dont know if i want the R11s, because i have been hitting the R11 so well. I know it is a 460cc instead of the R11 which is 440cc, and it has more adjustability. All i want to know is if anybody has hit both of them and if the R11s is easier or harder to control or basically the same. I can bet the R11s will be even better, but i just want to make sure before they send it to me and i get a driver that i dont hit as well. Thanks a lot guys!

All Tiger has ever primarily wanted to win was majrs. But if you are saying he doesnt really are about winning any other tournament he plays in, you are on a differnet planet. Tiger wants to win more than anybody no matter what tournament it is. If he doens't want to win he doesn't play...but the one's he plays in, i can guarentee all he wants to do is win more than anything. And why would he not focus on putting now as apposed to march. I doubt hes thinking that. He is working on what he believes he needs to work on to win. He's not saying, all i care about is the masters and im gonna not practice my putting now because i dont need win now...that is absurd. He doesnt go into a tournament to work on his driving or ball striking...he goes to win. If he believed putting is an issue (which i think everybody but him thinks it is) then he would be working on his putting. But hes not postponing going to the putting green beacsue its not the masters right now. Not to mention, to win at the masters, sure you have to put, but you mostly need to be amazing with your irons. There are litteraly a couple square feet where you can land your ball at augusta to get close to the pin, if you miss that square by an inch your 30 ft away. So if anything he will be working more on his ball striking and iron play. This guy brocks is a retard. He thinks tiger is in the middle of his swing changes. HES BEING DOING IT FOR 2 YEARS! how long is it gonna take? And yes his iron play was amazing and was one of the best on tour. BUT what seperated him was sinkning putts when it matterd. He never lost on sunday becasue he sank those putts. Now he does not do that. He is not he same guy. I love Tiger more than anything, and all i want is for him to come back...but i dont think he will. Its been to much of this bullshit. He will win another major, sure. but he will not be Tiger Woods again, and sink those 25 ft's when all the money is on the line......let alone a 6 ft putt

or give a correct yardage...twice today he had the wrong yardage. the par 3 where he was short in the bunker, and the 226 yd cut 7....i know tiger has a shit load of reserved power, but come on, joe's gotta say something there

When Tiger is on, there is nobody i would rather watch. Altough it is pissing me off that they haven't showed Rory yet, and they barley showed him yesterday. I really do not want to miss any shot Tiger hits tho lol. I love Watney, but there is no one id rather see win than Tiger....period.

This is DJ's tournmanet. 64 yesterday, and came back from 2 down. and he is on fire today. He never has done well in this tournament, but something is clicking this week. I would bet on him

Next to the masters, this is my favourite tournament to watch. Between match play and the dessert, its just awesome
