  1. its a golf club, why would yu care if its scratched?
  2. resonant shudder is a good description of the feeling
  3. i dont take much of a divot until I get down to wedges and then not always. im a bit of a picker but def hit down and through. i feel this on prob 75% of my swings. my irons have been grooved. so of course im putting terribly. so it goes... cant complain about puring my irons but like I said just curious if an x stiff would be better maybe I just want c-tapers and am trying to justify
  4. ive been playing this driver for a few weeks. people arent talking about how hot the face is. its a great driver, sets up great, and has a ton of pop.
  5. when you flush a shot, after you feel the ball compress and rocket off the face, do you feel the shaft sort of wiggle lije its exloding at impact. i've asked my buddy that I always play with and some guys in the clubhouse but no one knows what I mean. im a real big guy. 6'1" 275 with a 425lb squat 475 dead lift. i hit medium long 7i about 170, 6 about 190. the ball goes straight generally or a slight hook. im playing kbs tour stiff shafts w/ mp-59s and i'm pretty happy. i just wonder if I need an x-stiff shaft. is that wiggle affecting accuracy or length? my ball flight is def on the higher side. i have trouble hitting punch shots.
  6. hi1 167 yds slight uphill w/ 7i. striped it wirh a baby draw. landed 24" past and sucked back into the hole. rest of the day was shit.
  7. they are allowed to sell for whatever price they want. the mfg can set map pricing and czn set some consequences for advertising a price below map but retailors are free to sell their goods for whatever price they want as long as the price isnt advertised. the mfg can stop fufilling a retailor or take away back end funding for map violations but cannot collude on pricing at the pos

  10. totally different drivers d3 is more of a tp, its small. i started off good with it but as the season went on i just couldnt hit it. its not for you average joe. i picked up the ping anser today. it compares to the d2 which my buddy has and I can hit. i liked the anser right away and according to the monitor I hit pretty well so I said eff it. its not as adjustable ut im kind of over adjustability and had it back to A1 anyway.
  11. lol @ horrible. the 59s are probably the most positivly reviewed irons in recent history.
  12. i play the superstroke slim on both my ping redwood anser and my tm spider and will probably never go back.
  13. my usual playing partner got the nikes and i have the mizzy's. those vr's are pure crap. the mid and long irons are super tiny, really light, terrible feel and awful stock grips.. propably the most unforgiving iron on the market. the short irons are decent but all short irons are easy to hit. well i guess theres an ass for every seat.
  14. love mine +half inch 2° upright with kbs stiff shafts decade multi comps with 3 wraps. want to hit them with c-tapers at some point
  15. i had the same irons and wedges as you last year. the pw, 9, and 8 were ridiculous, imo. big old blimps. long irons were automatic though. lol went from burner+ to a really used set of mp-33's off cl. quite the leap but was the right move. iron striking got a lot better really fast. got the 59's for xmas from the fiance and absoloutley love them. just butter. I upgraded wedges to sm4 recently. like them but was better out of the sand with the tw9, just stay our of the sand, right? what a dumb game. at least it's really expensive to play.
  16. my iron striking keeps getting better. I'm using a 9 for 160 and under now. My goddamn driver probable averages 230 with a random (1 in 8) 260-280 have had a few long balls in Vegas and PHX over 300, warm, downhill and tail wind. I play 99% of my rounds in the PNW where its cold and soft 11.9 months out of the year. No roll and soft as pudding with plugs in the center of the FW. My irons keep going longer and longer which sounds great but it makes the actual game of golf much harder. also, my wedges stay consistently short. I play a 56 roughly 70 - 80 yards and my 52 to about 100, PW goes 125ish. Feels so compressed on the yardages... I feel like my 9 and 8 are just getting ridiculously long while most other clubs are pretty reasonable. took my 7 to 178 maybe30 inches to right of the pin today. I gambled due to my yardage increases. As I type this I think I'm too steep.... Not sure what my question is, just frustrated with the game at the moment. Flying greens on pure strikes is terrible.
  17. cutting down my putter an inch from 35 to 34 and adding super stroke slim grip. i havent 3 putt in 2 rounds. my misses are inches due to misreads. no figure 8 backstrokes, just feels natural and strokes striaht through. its amazing that choking down didnt have the same affect. cut your putter!
  18. it's 9 bucks. in golf dollars thats like 50 cents. you've gone that far, why half ass it over 9 bucks?
  19. i play a superfast 2.0 4W and I crush it off the tee. I was hitting it 255, measued by gps in 45 degree weather last round.. i've hit a big cut around a tree 237 yds and rolled on to a par 5 green in 2. I 3 jacked the goddamn putt though.
  20. i play the slimmest super stroke and I really like it. it just feels solid and predictable. it costs like 12 bucks to give it a try.
  21. I just played it for the first time. They check up really nice. I chipped like a pro. Two short hops and a skip. I dont have a bad thing ot say.
  22. Just get the 59's and be done with it. I got the 59's with the KBS tour stiff flex 2 degrees up .75" long and 4 wraps under the GP multi compounds. By far the best iron I've ever touched. You can work the ball both ways easily. The face feel is just beautiful. THey look great. Really forgiving. Stop messing around and pull the trigger. Also not sure how people are getting them with c-tapers since Mizuno doesn't offer that shaft.
  23. I just had a range session with my new xmas Mp-59's with KBS tour stiff shafts and golfpride multi compounds and OH MY LORD. I have never hit like that. Also, the first irons Ive had fit. 4 wraps under the grips, .75" long and bent 2 degrees up. Out of 250 balls I maybe had 20 mishits. thats not something I ever expected. I hope this isn't placebo and it carries to the course. Its amazing how long I played mp-33's out of my skill level. my distances are so different now I am like 15-20 longer on most clubs. Its going to take a bunch of rounds to get dialed in again.
  24. if the 68 doesn't feel smooth when you make contact you can be sure it's your contact that is the problem.
