  1. Isn't trying out new stuff part of the fun. Balls are the cheapest part of the game, goofing around with different and new ones isn't something I'd like to NOT do myself.
  2. Topflite D2 Feel, it's a pretty nice ball an $15 for 15, you can't beat it.
  3. Not bad, we were in dhorts and shirt sleves last weekend, probably short sleves and pants this weekend.
  4. Sycamore Creek is probably one of the best public courses in the Richmond area as far as condition goes. Brookwoods is also a pretty nice one except for a couple holes that get a little water logged as well as a couple holes with some new housing construction near them. Here's their websites; http://www.sycamorecreekgolfcourse.com http://www.brookwoodsgolf.com
  5. I recently, heh yesterday, got a set of MX-25s. I demoed them and ordered the set from a local shop last tuesday. The demo/fitting club that was closest to what I bought had the Dyna-lite shaft. I kinda had the same impression as you, the club felt "harsh" also ot felt not quite as solid in the swing as I wanted. I checked out one of their blades with the Dynamic Gold shaft, which felt much better and is what I ended up ordering. After spending a few hours at the range with them I definitely made the correct choice. They Dynamic Gold shaft just feels smooth and the clubs feel nice and buttery on well struck balls and not bad at all on miss-hits (cept for a bladed ball).
  6. ...rofl...
  7. Yeah, I know it's a dumb question but I cant seem to find the answer... Also is the measurement from the top of the grip to where the shaft would end if it went all the way through to the lay line of the sole (stellar technical terminology there)?
  8. Play an entire round with 1 ball (not loose it). One was to break 90, which I've been very happy about doing with 2 scores of 85 this month.
  9. I'm thinking of replacing the grip on mu putter and was wondering if there are any tricks for getting the grip to align correctly? I've always used soapy water instead of solvent so I have a little more time and ease adjusting the grip so getting it correct right away isn't an issue but I would like to ensure that it is lined up perfectly.
  10. Between the 2, Tiger. Personally for me it's Mr Hogan, with where he came from and what he accomplished for the game. If it weren't for the second world war and his accident then the wins and stats may make a greater argument in his favor.
  11. Network Engineer - Actually started my career as a systems admin for the Ben Hogan company when it was here in Richmond, VA.
  12. Maybe form some way of showing the actual flight path of the ball (hopefully nowhere as cheesy as the blue puck in hockey years back). Watching golf, you see a guy swing, then a camera shot on a ball backgrounded by the sky, which truthfully could be the same stock footage from 20 years ago, then land. A viewer never gets to truly see and appreciate how these guys work the ball. Just a lurkers 2 cents
