  1. I've heard good things about the golf gloves with the wrist aid in them that only let's you cock your wrist the correct way. Would you reccomend one of those ? They are 25$ on eBay
  2. yes my swing is way to flat and inside. i'm not sure how to fix it
  3. guys- every year near the end of the season my swing evolves into a monster- i loose distance like crazy because i am releasing too early, and prolly some other things too. i also have problems with cupping my left wrist in my backswing and i heard there is a glove you can get to promote keeping a flat left wrist. is that effective and should i get one? any other good drills for this problem? normally i hit 155 with an 8 iron and i'm using a 6 irons for that distance now... sucks so bad.
  4. Got the medalist yesterday, a big thanks to those who told me to get the pinseeker, it is so rad. Paid 177 shipped on eBay. Really really cool. I feel like I have a more accurate idea of exactly how far each club goes and carrys now. Erik
  5. I've been on the titleist bandwagon for a few years now, 983,905,909. Finally got a tour burner with a real diamana and it is the most forgiving combo I have ever had. Truly happy. Maybe it's just the shaft but maybe both. :). Don't give up your search fir the perfect club. Ever :)
  6. I still love u tiger you'll be ok :)
  7. i'm going to get a medalist. found one for about 215 shipped on ebay, new. thanks for the replies.
  8. Ok so either I'm getting the rx-600 or the cheapest pinseeker model I can find is the bushnell medalist with only 4x zoom, bigger heavier and it's 220$ on eBay vs 185 shipped for the leupold. Which should I go for guys ????
  9. Thanks Erik. In your opinion, is the pinseeker technology that important to you ? I wouldn't know, never had one but I'm ready to get one that will last me a long time.
  10. No it isn't for golf of course. I don't think the rx-1 has pinseeker either. Anyone else ? Call me crazy, but I think I'd rather have a non pinseeker leupold than a pinseeker bushnell from all the good reviews I've read about leupold
  11. http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/st..._SearchResults is there any reason to spend the extra money on the RX-I ? they both seem about the same, 6X zoom, small, etc. i'm sure there is some reason the rx-I is more, but for this price i think i may pick one up today. anybody have a rx-600? thanks Erik
  12. Yes I think I am to that point. Thanks for the suggestion.
  13. Same grip as other club. New dec multicompund
  14. Yeah I've been to the range. Obviously I could use a lesson and some swing changes, but I'd like to get the club feeling lighter if possible. I did change to a lighter grip already.
  15. so i finally got a d3 with the same shaft my 905r had, at 76g v2. i can only recall 2 or 3 straight drives in the past 36 holes i have played. My default shot with 905r was dead straight or a slight fade. with the d3, i am fading quite a bit harder. the 905r shaft was 44.5 and my new d3 is 45". I choked down for a while to try to simulate the shorter shaft, but that doesn't do it. It is HEAVIER. at least that is how i feel. i have tried to work on my balance and adjust, but i can't seem to make it work. Now i love the higher moi of the d3, i just haven't dialed it in. should i get a 65g shaft like the diamana? those are ez to find. also, how hard is it to switch shafts with this new 909 series? thinking of just buying a diamana d3 on ebay so i can try both at the same time. btw, the d3 is long for me, even with a fade :) had a few 300 yd drives any advice welcome Erik
  16. Yo guys trying to get tickets for the Thursday round, I find ticketmaster has the cheapest tickets about 50$ each. Is there a better place or way to go about getting them ? Thanks
  17. Thanks for the feedback guys. I think I'll get the d3. I also felt like the deeper face was a huge plus for different traj control options. I can tee it higher than my 905r. Also think I'll get the diamana 65g stiff.
  18. Guys i am currently playing a 905r. v2 76g shaft 44.5" I finally got to try a 909D3 the other day with a voodoo Stiff... they only had an 8.5, but it felt great, (i would get a 9.5) and most importantly i could tell that my overworked cuts and draws were less shapely than with the 905r... exactly what i want. plus i feel like i'm almost swinging the same club with the d3... so close looking to the 905r... so my question is-- should i be playing a d3? i feel like i don't need the extra spin that the d2 or comp offers i avg 275 and am just fine with that, just want to hit more fairways... but will i get more forgiveness by playing a d2? I can't figure out if the extra head size will help me from overworking the ball more, or if the lower spin of the d3 with be most beneficial. As far as ball striking goes, i feel like i hit it right most of the time.... i feel like i just need lower spin... so have i answered my own question or should i get a d2? less spin d3 or bigger face d2? I wish i could hit a d2 but i'm not sure i will find one to hit for a while. thanks Erik
  19. [QUOTE The obvious plus to blades I think is feel and feedback. On really great shots sometimes it feels like you didn't even hit a ball. :)[/QUOTE] Thats called Butter!!!! so addicting
  20. I did it guys! I shot under par at my local 9 hole! -1! while this isn't a full length course, it was still a fantastic achievement for me. The trick was making every 3-5 ft putt. Felt incredible. I've realized lately that golf is so mental more than anything else. Anyway AMAZING day, had to share :)
  21. i think that happens with clubs... i almost sold my 906f4--- then it clicked for me as well... i can't imagine being without it now.
  22. so allow me to take this convo to the next step- i see there are a couple of golf apps for the iphone right now- haven't looked or read into them seriously, but how good are they at the moment? Are there any programs that allow you to plot your own yardages of the course and get the distance for you as you're between them? cause that will generally satisfy me.... all i know is i just got a garmin for my birthday, and i'm considering returning it, because i'll be buying an iphone in the next few months....
  23. i am very pleased to report that this ended up being a great decision! I hit a bunch of balls with the club today and it was night and day difference from my proto S 80g shaft. 90g was noticeably heavier, and now i don't over work the ball! that shaft was clearly too soft for my swing speed. My grouping was much closer together and my mis hits were much better as well. this shaft is so great! going to put my other club back up FS. thanks for everyones input.
  24. well i bought my 906f4 15.5 with a 90g proforce shaft. very excited. my driver is the 76g model. looking forward to more consistency (crosses fingers) i will report on my findings
  25. i have been working on my arc stroke this week-- i really like it-- i totally understand now how you actually move your wrists LESS when using the arc stroke and use your big back muscles to move the putter more-- went to my local shop tonight and played with all the scottys. went in with the mindset i would love the squareback-- really liked it but turns out i liked the newport 2.7 the best- worried tho as Erik you shared that scotty says most people eventually go to a quarter hang model-- i am also pretty cool with a 2.6--- so how do i know which is best for me? i'm currently using a yes! natalie center shafted. funny that the ones i like are not quarter hang.. the only reason i like the 2.6 and 2.7 is the smooth shaft lines-- i don't really like the notchy zig zags of the other quarter hang models. I know I know, silly preferences. mmm they sure felt nice. would love to try them on the real greens! Erik
