  1. first started playing about 5 years ago and had some cheap arse putter that the kids bash around now. then didn't play for a while and started again & bought 2nd hand Odyssey white hot #4 or 5. traded that for white steel #1, which I still have but haven't fallen out of love with and recently bought the Taylormade Rossa Daytona which is the best I've had! I should have also kept the white hot as I prefer the feel of it compared to the white steel. I'm not going to buy any more putters!!
  2. You should take them back and get what you ordered. I can't believe you would accept such a difference in shaft. Your results are inconsistent because you can't swing the club fast enough to warrant extra stiff shafts, not that there is anything wrong with that. There will be no flex in it for you at all so you have to do all the work to get the ball moving, with regular you will have some flex in them to get your distance and the ball in the air.
  3. must be short arse's day out!!! I'm 5'5" and had my clubs custom fitted - 2° flat but kept the standard length. Cutting them shorter does reduce distance and makes the shaft stiffer so I wanted to leave that.
  4. read his post again dopey! under where he lists whats in the bag he says in massive bold letters " Help! Looking for game improvement irons with thin top line and less offset" Perhaps you should mind your own business 907golfer12
  5. I don't use mine if the ground is hard-they bounce too much and being a forged blade have zero forgiveness! I find my sand wedge perfect if I want it to go higher just open the face and play it forward in my stance. We are all good wedge players from a decent lie 100 yards out! when we are 10-50 it gets more interesting...
  6. if you want game improvement iron with thin top line etc try Taylormade R7, Cobra FP, Wilson Di7-go to a shop and custom fitted for a real set!! you'll enjoy hitting them more
  7. I've already made my post to this thread dopey!
  8. BORED NOW. Can we get back to talking about golf...
  9. I think it's too late for her. She didn't start out the right way being directed to continually improve on her game and other aspects of being a tour player. Too hard for her now as she would basically have to start at the beginning again. It's a shame and a waste of talent but it's a case of what could have been...
  10. JD is good for any tour. He's unconventional & wild. My 12 year old son hates golf but stops dead in his tracks if Daly is playing because he loves the fact he is 'out there'. He is so not your typical sports hero-he drinks, he's loud, he plays in a band, and he doesn't look like an athlete. FANTASTIC CHARACTER!! There should be more like him...
  11. Jack was the best in his day and with equipment we probably couldn't use, but more importantly had the mental game to win when it counted and come up with the shots that mattered and boy could he putt! However...Tiger has more shot making ability & is a better player technically. When it comes to mental - no-one can out-do him. His mental strength is awesome & a major part of his game compared to competitors. Head-to-Head my money is on Tiger but it would be close!
  12. Golf Pride multi compound-red & black - absolutely brilliant. I have quite sweaty hands when I play and these are great. I discovered on Saturday when it rained they are also good in the wet! I put them on my new clubs immediately - didn't even play one shot with the crap factory rubber ones!
  13. just switched to Callaway Big Bertha 07 w/uniflex steel shaft for my 3 wood. it absolutely flies off the tee. did have Taylormade V steel 3, but wore it out! Driver: Callaway X460 10° 3 Wood: Callaway Big Bertha 07 7 Wood: Maxfli Blue Max 5-SW: Wilson Staff Di7 LW: Powerbilt 60° Taylormade Rossa Daytona Titleist NXT Tour/Callaway Warbird ball
  14. put it on ebay & you'll soon find out!
  15. steel is the way to stay reading how I think you hit the ball. graphite is not as consistant as steel. go to the pro shop and get fitted out properly. they can advise model, shaft flex etc etc. I am just about to order new irons switching from graphite to steel for that reason (and I prefer the feel).
