  1. Dont you think that if the top 120 situation was indeed true that all of the major sports sites would pick up on it and include it in their articles?
  2. Good points by people on how you miss your putts. I didnt mind my long putter. But I bent the shaft and after it was replaced it wasnt the same. It definatley wasnt installed right. I just scrapped it and went back to a regular one. Poing being when I had the long one and it was fit to me and installed right I thought I was gonig to make anything inside 10 ft. But in the end its you not the putter. After a yaer with it I went though the same battles with it as the regular putter. But you know, its like blade vs mallet. Try it some styles are better for you than others. I am overall more consistant with a mallet than a blade. So give it a shot imo.
  3. According to ESPN http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/colum...t&lid;=tab4pos1 After finishing T-12 in what is believed to be her final LPGA start of the season, this may not signal the beginning of the end for Michelle Wie, but it certainly could be the end of the beginning. According to the LPGA, a nonmember (such as Wie) can earn status for the next season by winning a tournament (the T-12 was her best finish of the season), finishing in the top five on the Duramed Future Tour money list (she has not competed in an event on that tour) or earning enough money in eligible events to rank in the top 80 at season's end. Currently, she has $62,763 in nonmember earnings, which would rank 114th with 10 events still remaining on the schedule. So, what's left for Wie? Only one option: The last way for a nonmember to earn full status for the next season is through the LPGA Qualifying Tournament. Expect Wie to be in the field come December.
  4. It's actually a contract with Reebok to wear it's NFL apparel. Anyways, I bet a lot of hometown guys at events see his hat or shirt and then say hey that is cool I want one. Esp old dudes who are way too into football.
  5. Project X shafts are actually lighter than DG shafts. PX6.0 is 125 DG S300 is 130 S400 134 and PX 6.5 is 125 also. Slightly variable though. http://www.royalprecision.com/precis..._projectx.html http://www.truetemper.com/golf/dynamicgold.asp I love my PX 6.0 better than my S300s. They feel much more consistant and I feel like I can "load" then better. I probably hit the ball slightly higher, personally not much though. I noticed no discrepinsy in distance. Much better accuracy overall with the PX.
  6. Exactly. I have AP2s, they are a great set of irons in my opinion. PX 6.0.
  7. Thats fine I undestand all that but it doesnt automatically make it a better club just because the head is 460cc instead of 425cc or whatever. And its very possible to hit the sweet spot and still not hit the ball straight.
  8. Worsh psychological move ever, nothing but a great way to put negative thoughts in your head. My partner did this yesterday in our league and well, hit it in the water. 260 for me. 265 and i say ehh, should be no problem and i decide the risk/reward. 270 and were talking if its a scarmble hell ya if its a tournament, im probably not risking it.
  9. That is not sound advice a driver isnt better just because the head is bigger.
  10. I hit my G2 a good 15-20 yards farther than my old Cobra SS350 which i hit 10 yard farther than my callaway big bertha. That said I used to bomb the 975j farther than my cobra so take it for what thats worth. I didnt notice any better or worse accuracy with any of them. Its $15 get it and if it sucks then get something else is my suggestion.
  11. spin sucks if you dont know how to control it, if you know how then its a great addition to anyones shot arsenal.
  12. I love my sv tour wedges, I have them in the black satin finish.
  13. I played in our local Cleveland Amateur this weekend, qualifying rounds. 77 with 34 putts, 77 with 35 putts. 149 and better this year qualified. It was a case of just not being able to figure out the greens. But it helps the argument about the important short game. Esp if you are looking to take your game to the next level.
  14. I got my set from golfmygirl. I couldnt be happier. There was a slight problem which was handled perfectly on their end. He had a lot of auctions 3-pw and some 4-pw. I won 3-pw but got 4-pw. He sent me the 3i no questions asked. Great service. Clubs also stated brand new except 7i hit as a demo. 7i came in 100% brand new in the wrapping. Highly recommended.
  15. I think as you become a better player, the short game becomes more important. But as a high handicapper, the long game problems overshadows the rest of your game. That said, even as a high handicapper you can make up for a lot with a good short game. But then again if its taking you 6 shots to get within 30 yards then ....
