  1. lowest ever was a 76 (par 70 course). I was 3 over for the front and back. I was even for the back until the last three holes where I made bogey consecutively. I have never done it since. I was so exited I had the people I was playing with, first time playing with them, to sign my card. I kept the card and the ball I did it with. I'm thinking of plaquing it..lol
  2. I tried to go into a one-plane method, there was a good article on it a couple months ago in Golf Digest, but it wasn't working for me. I've been a two planer and it seemed like the one-plane would be awesome..simple..compact. Do you set up further away from the ball for the one plane? The article mentioned you need to hunch over more. I tried but it seems like most my shots tend to stay lower and less punch. What is your setup for the one plane and are you coming at it from the inside?
  3. I have to say that he did have a decent looking swing and was dead on.

  5. Disregard my Mars is COMING! it's coming but nowhere the size of the moon: http://www.universetoday.com/am/publ...ox.html?872005 --
  6. MARS SPECTACULAR! The Red Planet is about to be spectacular! This month and next, Earth is catching up with Mars in an encounter that will culminate in the closest approach between the two planets in recorded history. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287. Due to the way Jupiter's gravity tugs on Mars and perturbs its orbit, astronomers can only be certain that Mars has not come this close to Earth in the Last 5,000 years, but it may be as long as 60,000 years before it happens again. The encounter will culminate on August 27th when Mars comes to within 34,649,589 miles of Earth and will be (next to the moon) the brightest object in the night sky. It will attain a magnitude of -2.9 and will appear 25.11 arc seconds wide. At a modest 75-power magnification Mars will look as large as the full moon to the naked eye. Mars will be easy to spot. At the beginning of August it will rise in the East at 10 P.M. and reach its azimuth at about 3 a.m. By the end of August when the two planets are closest, Mars will rise at nightfall and reach its highest point in the sky at 12:30 A.M. That's pretty convenient to see something that no human being has seen in recorded history. So, mark your calendar at the beginning of August to see Mars grow progressively brighter and brighter throughout the month. Share this with your children and grandchildren. NO ONE ALIVE TODAY WILL EVER SEE THIS AGAIN
  7. actually it was the best shot..from a few weeks ago: at my local course, it was a par 3, about 168 yrds, elevated tee box..full carry with water all around. Pin tucked in to the left. Pulled out my 8 iron (usually my 150 yd club.) and just hit it. Came out wonderful with the perfect draw..accident..and it just landed and spun a little to the left..3 footer for birdie..missed it..tap in par. I was playing with 3 other folks I never played with before and they were shocked..me too..LOL
  8. well it's a little too late for Adolfs meat hammer (tenderizer) but it came out great. Next time though I am going to let it roast for another hour on a lower heat setting..has anyone tried that Stubb's BBQ sauce ..it's honestly the best stuff out there..I just buy mine from Ralph's..local supermarket here in L.A.
  9. I thought they might've made you play with the hickory sticks and persimmons too.
  10. from the Golf Channel site: "Woods and Nicklaus are the only players to win the Grand Slam at least twice, and the only Americans to win the British Open twice at the home of golf. Woods also completed the ``Nicklaus Slam,'' winning all four majors when the Golden Bear played for the final time." Didn't Tiger lose the U.S. Open to Campbell and isn't the U.S. Open a major? EDIT: just got it..CAREER Grand Slams..
  11. I guess this is an approprite area but I love to BBQ all year but being summer here..more so than than ever. Anyway, recently I had a friend of ours bring over some beef ribs, raw, and said do what you want with it. I had no idea how to BBQ ribs so I always use this stuff from McCormicks called "Montreal Steak Seasoning"..this stuff is the best stuff on the earth if your cooking steaks..it's honestly all you need. What is it? It's like a bunch of herbs, salts, in a big sprinkler. I just sprinkle it on let in sit for about 30 mins. then throw it one the grill. Well I did the same thing with the ribs but added some lime juice, fresh, and let it marinate for about 3 hours. I then threw them on the grill, rib side down, and cooked each side on medium-low heat for 30 mins. each side. Then the last 5 mins I threw on some Jack Daniels BBQ sauce. It came out perfect. I'm a harsh critic when it comes to my BBQ'ing but it was awesome. Anyway I'm going to do the same for these pork baby back ribs I bought a few days ago from Costco. Let ya'll know how it turns out. Anyone have a sure fire BBQ ribs recipe?

  15. true, I was just thinking for those avid collectors that are looking for OEM specs..I chopped a Carbite BB series and it worked for me too..
  16. besides the PW that came with my set my only other wedge is the 56. If I need more loft just open it up and my stance.
  17. You're nuts..don't mess with your SC. Once you do and you want to sell it no one will touch it..it really throws off the weight and it was designed to be that long. If you want a shorter Scotty..buy one..choke down. oops..too late..
  18. WOW! you guys have really cheap green fees. We SoCal golfers have to pay upwards of $50 for a decent place.
  19. Hiya!
  20. IMHO the best place to get balls are off of Ebay. You can get PV1's cheap. I bought 50 Maxfli M3 Tours for $25.
