  1. Hey folks, to be honest ive always had 4 wedges in my bag PW, GW-52, SW-56, LW-60, really like the look of the CG14s but not sure on this insert business on the back of them, i think thats why i dont like the cg11s because they have the cut out on the back with the CG logo on them maybe thats why i feel i dont get as solid a contact, i defo dont hit them as far as i did the cg10s. Just seem to be reading review after review on wedges and the best of the best seem to be cleveland, titleist and nike closely followed by callaways and taylormades. Ideally looking for something that will give me solid feeling contact on full wedge approach shots but retain that great feel about the greens, spinning the ball isnt a problem i seem to be able to do this with 6-pw anyway. Any further comments warmly recieved :)
  2. Hey folks, changing my wedges been a cleveland man for years had cg10s and upgraded to cg11s last season but really dont think the feel as solid on contact as the cg10s were, so considering the cg12s or 14s, Nike TWs or Titleist Vokey Spin Milled wedges, would love to hear users opinions and reviews if they play with any of the wedges mentioned :)
  3. Thanks alot guys for the replys :) was half expecting to be ignored cause im just a newbie good bunch o folk :) Dont know if any o this information will help ball flight tends to be straight on 6-PW and a 5 yard fade on 3-5 Irons, 7 Iron carry is about 165-175, im of medium height and larger than average muscular build only have about 85% swing never complete full swing plane So hard to get video'd locally, might try take a video and load it up maybe you guys can see what my problem is hope ive not developed a flip been working on my swing for years not that its getting me anywhere haha Someone suggested trying X Shaft, Rifle etc etc and seeing how the ball flight changes so might try this first and see if it is shaft stiffness or kick point Really considering going for a new set of irons and just get fully fitted maybe try get me down to single low figures in the coming seasons.
  4. Playing with S300 Shafts, im guessing that your suggesting the shaft flex should be stiffer?
  5. Looking for some advice on iron selection, currently playing with Cleveland CG2 Irons, but the ball flight is just ballooning up want to change irons to something with more low penetrating ball flight, considering something along the lines or mizuno mp-60, cleveland cg red, titleist 775, srixon i-506, anyone help or advise?
  6. 4 wedges for me, Pw-48, Gw-52, Sw-56, Lw-60
  7. Single figures and yes carry 3 Iron but can count on my hands how often ive needed it this year, hitting the ball as long as i do means my approach shots are mainly the 150-200 (apart from long par 5s) so not used the 3 iron much as I hit my 4 about 208-212.
  8. About the 300 mark going by pacing out in direct line from the tee to the ball and on approach distance markers.

A 78, with a 8 on the card at the first i was pretty gutted and felt like ripping the card up but plodded along, 9 birdie putts and made only 3 bit disappointed but hey only room for improvement, highlight was driving the dog leg right 10th par 4 338yards to about 12 feet missed the eagle putt but left a tap in for birdie :) if only they were all as straight forward eh.
