  1. I get all the chicks when I carry my 60
  2. I finally got to play 18 between the rain storms. I hit the driver well, miss hit shots still went pretty straight and I had no slicing action. The course was soaked so all I had was carry distance with little to no roll. I did not take any gps range measurements but I would guess a carry of 230-240. The Prolaunch Platinum shaft in stiff seems like a good fit. I shot an 85, best score to date is an 83. I was only 5 over par for the first 8 holes and then doubled the par 5 9th with a miserable 5 wood pop up off the tee. I was not looking for a new driver but when I saw the 100.00 buy it now price for the head, shaft, wrench I could not pass it up. For now it has knocked the R7 Superquad out of the bag
  3. You can find a ton of putters on ebay but first you have to find something that is comfortable and fits your eye. What I did was go to a golf store and test out the putters. I really like the look and feel of the Yes Marylynne putter.
  4. I tweaked my back last week and have not been able to get out with the FT-5 yet. I hit about a dozen trash balls into the woods and it seems like it has potential. BTW it is authentic. I got it for $100.00 with a Prolaunch Platinum shaft in stiff. came with the wrench, head cover and original box.
  5. Sorry, your right, it is i-Mix...
  6. Looking around on E-bay last night I ran across a used but almost perfect condition FT-5 (neutral), Pro launch platinum shaft, wrench, and head cover for a pretty low price. I could not resist... How do you guys like yours? I have been playing a R7 Superquad.
  7. If you are looking at older models to save a little money... TM os2's 2005 are a good GI iron that you can work a little. The next step up would be the TM LT2 2005's that are easier to work but still a GI iron. I just moved up from OS2's to LT2's. I really liked both sets of irons.
  8. TM burner, 2007-2008 models are nice.
  9. I had the OS2's and they can be worked a little. Great clubs and I would recommend them to anyone getting started.
  10. A few weeks ago I installed a 66 gram RED in my driver, x stiff, and it feels great to me. I was afraid it would feel like a broom stick in x stiff but it feel nice to me. I liked it so much that I purchased a 74 gram RED fairway shaft in stiff to try in my 3 wood.
  11. I agree with the poster above. There are many older (3-5 years) sets that perform great in the 200 range on here and on Ebay it doesn't seem worth the effort. I just purchased a very nice set of Taylormade LT2's in great condition for $215 shipped.
  12. OK, thanks for the replies. I am not looking for irons, i like the LT2's, just wanted clarification to all the feel comments I read in other threads.
  13. When reading all of the Blade vs Cavity back threads I see a common theme over and over that I honestly don't understand... I keep seeing people recomend blades for "feedback if nothing else". Honestly I don't get it... I have played RAC os2's, 2005 Forged TP's, and now LT2's and I get feedback from all of them. If I hit it on the toe it is obvious by the feel that I have mis hit it. Same with if I hit it fat or thin. Ball flight, the sound, the grass marks, all the signs are there. So what exactly is the feedback you guys are talking about ?
  14. Maybe we could get a TST version... sandy balls! Someone also suggested a "hairy" set so you could clean your clubs
  15. This is classy! http://mysack.com/select-golf.html
  16. Have you tried to wet a rag with grip solvent and wipe off the sticky goo?
  17. So I threw together a simple shaft puller... Old bottle jack, a steel parallel clamp I had, a little vice and a rubber shaft gripper thing. I used a low temp heat gun and pulled my first graphite shaft, it was dead simple.
  18. Nothing they can do ??? I pop grips off all the time with compressed air.
  19. Just entering my scorecard and I realized I made a mistake. Wrote down a 3 on one of the par 3's... I know I missed the green by about 18", chipped on, and 2 putted, that should have been a 4. So I really shot a 89 to tie my best 18 hole score.
  20. Just purchased a used set of LT2's and today I shot my first 88.
  21. Same basic thing happened to me.... Sold an item on Ebay. Customer paid by paypal. 90 days later customer claimed damage throught the credit card company. He never left any feedback on ebay or paypal. I have 100% positive. Paypal siad it was out of their hands and whatever the credit card company decided was final. They also refused to release the name of the credit card company to me so I could contact them directly. In the end Paypal refunded the money to the buyer. The buyer never sent the item back and Ebay refused to refund my fee's since 90 days had passed. I ended up with no item, no money, plus I had to pay the final value fee and the listing fee. I have since closed my Paypal account and rarely use Ebay.
  22. Who is still playing them ?? I received mine today... At address they have the top line like the RAC 2005 CB tour play irons but the cavity like the OS2's. On the range they feel great. The LT's have stiff shafts and they seem more accurate then my OS2's in a regular flex. The OS2's with a regular would wonder around, sometimes right, sometimes left, sometimes laser straight. My driver swing speed is over 100 and I tend to have an aggressive transition at the top of my swing so I think the stiff shaft is a good match.
  23. I lopped off 3/4" from my TM Superquad, then stuffed the head with cotton and the swing weight came back to stock. I also cut 1" off both my 3 and 5 wood burner fairway woods. I am hitting all 3 clubs much better
  24. You never know, it could work out... I am thinking a set that goes something like: Same length 3i 5i 7i 9i Normal pw 48 52 56 60
