  1. Iam going to jump on the Blake has to go bandwagon. What happen to Pat Perez? He just disappered before the elimination challenge. Maybe he was making Mike nervous and left. I know he was not shown anymore after the B-R-E-A-K challenge. Just a side note, does anyone know when this was taped?
  2. Woods, Ames and Wie. 4 out of 5 events if you count Cook on the champions tour last week. I am not a big fan of Nike equipment. In fact I have never used any Nike equipment. Is it me or does Nike not do that much advertising? I have seen ads for the Str8 fit driver, but that is about it. I see numerous ads for titleist, taylormade, and callaway. I just think Nike could probably do a better job of marketing their equipment. Maybe they don't need to. I not sure how many average joes actually play anything nike. I have played with 1 guy in the last 3 years that plays Nike and he was head to toe with their stuff.
  3. False, Your intent was to hit the ball but you missed. That is a stroke.
  4. How about the 3 shots into 17 from the final group. Granted they didn't make the putts but the shots were still good.
  5. This is true. The same reason she was not fired for her comments about Tiger she was only suspended. She also caddied for the King at the Masters Par 3 event a couple years ago. She knows where her bread is buttered. It does get a little sickening though.
  6. I went at it two ways when we had a Hogan/Nike tour event in our town. I would find a spot that had a view of multiple holes. I would either start out there and wait for groups I wanted to see or I would follow one group to that spot and wait there for other groups I would want to see then follow them until another point with multiple views. I always prioritized the groups so I wouldn't be jumping all over the course to get a glimpse of a certain player. Also as said previously spend some time on the practice tee especially after the round. It is amazing to see the things they work on after a round.
  7. Bay Hill 2003 not the Open
  8. The golf world turns it eyes to you. Apology is in order to Paul Simon but I couldn't resist. I know he is out this week with the flu. But seriously, the guy has played in two events since Feb 1st. He did not play in any events in his home state of CA. Instead he went overseas to collect some cash. He has been injured doing now golf related things. (surfing and horseback riding). His last round was two weeks ago and he shot 75. This from someone that was suppose to be the next big thing. To me it looks like he is going back to his old ways and not really to concerned about golf. It bothers me a little that Phil is not playing in Arnie's event but that is another topic all together Phil has won twice this year so I will cut him some slack. Back to the flu thing. Tiger has won when sick and so has Phil. But in order to win you actually have to play.
  9. First of all let me state that I in no way believe Tiger has used PEDs. But let's look at a few things. Just questions mind you. What would happen if the #1 marketable athlete in the world tested positive for PEDs? If he did test positive what would the tour do? Iam a baseball fan and I just see odd things i.e Sammy Sosa falling off the face of the earth (after testing) Barry Bonds not being signed by anyone. Did the tour test Tiger and did he test positve and did they say take some time off let this stuff go through you system we will retest you after your comeback and announce it to the world that you are clean. Again I do not believe that this could happen. But is it a possibility?
  10. Read in Golf World that Paul Goydos was the only player not to miss a putt of 3 ft or less in 2008 and his streak is now 785 straight from that distance as of the Buick Invitational. Does anyone else find this mind boggling. I know these guys are good but not to miss from that distance for a whole season.
  11. iam pulling the trigger this year going from forged blades to cast cavity backs. This was a difficult decision for me since I have played forged irons my whole life. With the use of softer steel (ie 8620 carbon, or 431 stainless) the feeling isn't as harsh as I remember cast clubs back in the day. We will see how it goes. I have only been able to hit the new irons a few times so far due to snow LOL
  12. I live in Sioux City about 4 hours away from KC. Straight down I-29.
  13. I live in Iowa and was thinking about going to Kansas City or Wichita for a quick weekend get away. Trying to find quality courses that are open all year round. A course here in town is open all year and I just played friday in 45* weather, which is not bad. Just don't think it will be that warm in Dec/Jan
  14. Here is the info you are looking for on the Titleist web site. The link is: http://www.titleist.com/golfclubs/drivers/907D2.asp . The stock shaft is a Aldila VS Proto 65. And from the sight you can see the custom options and go from there. Hope this helps.
  15. As a former superintendent my goal was to get them rolling good in 3-4 days and within a week to ten days you wouldn't be able to tell they were aerated. I was on a 9 hole semi-private course that did not have a lot of play. We were able to close for 2 days to aerate. If some of the aeration holes did not fill completely i would take top dressing mix and spread and brush it in by hand to fill them. Now on busier courses, they can't close and are rushed to get the job done correctly. So to answer the question. There are a lot of variables that could speed up or slow down the recovery process.
