  1. A place a little bit north of Naples in Bradenton called the Legacy at Lakewood Ranch is a great course. It maybe a little too far north for you but it is well worth the drive. I went their 2 years ago and it was fantastical. It was voted the best course in Southwest Florida a couple of years ago. CHeck it out.
  2. The Shattuck -Jaffery NH Without a doubt the toughest course I have ever played. Ranked 43 on GD's toughest courses in America. Red Tail -Fort Devens Ma - Wonderful Couse hosting the 2009 US Women's Pub AM Links so if you are in the area get a tee time fast Salem CC - Peabody Ma - Only got to play nine with the golf team but wow, hosted the 2001 US Senior Open just rememberin where i saw Jack, Arnie, Player and the other greats and to know that i played where they did was cool The Ledges -York Me- Great hidden jem in southern maine Pine Hills - Best course in Plymouth
  3. I have the same irons with the NS-Pros and I can't recomend them enough. Your swing speed is similair to mine and i think that you will have a great experiene with them.
  4. This thread has just motivated me. I just brought up my dad's old putting mat from the basement. Heres me mat. Nothing like G-Funk's but for the next couple hours i'm puttin. And even though we have winter and snow golf at Kelly's its sometimes just too damn cold out.
  5. I live in the Boston area and we have year round golf up here. We just put on under armor, get colored balls, use icepicks to stick tees in the ground, sweep the greens, and use our friends truck to plow the fairways. Google a big snowstorm in 2004 in the Boston area, 50mph winds(right next to the ocean), 15 degrees, and 28in in Nahant where the course is: we played in it.
  6. I think your elbow is flying out on your back swing a little bit, this makes it very hard to get back to square on your follow through. Try this, on your back swing take your elbows are try and squeeze them together. This will prevent the elbow from flying out and hopefully fix your slice. If not sorry for screwing you up more.
  7. I hit the square one into the net at golfers warehouse...felt okay nothing real special.
  8. Anyone from Eastern Massachusetts looking for winter golf when your course is closed come to my home course. Kelly Greens in Nahant open all through the winter and groups on the weekends. Par 30 with 4 par 4s and 6 par 3s. Two of 3 fours are driveable but hey its the winter and if your not going to Florida give this a try. We sweep the greens when its snowing. Just wear under armor because we are right on the shore and the wind whips over the seawall pretty bad.
  9. I've been hittingmy driver verey high for a while now. On my drives I would hit it about 275 and then it would just take one bounce and then stop or then roll about 5 yards. My Driver had a stiff shaft and a lowkick so i got it reshafted to an X-Stiff with a mid kick. My driver now goes about 10 yards further and the trajectoy is a little better but still high. I have a steep swing path which maybe the reason but that is the path which I hit the straightest. Can anyone give me some hints as to how to get my trajectory down?
  10. Ok not cool. Seriously be honest with Ping and they might take care of you. My Father was using his wheels and it tipped and snapped his brand new FT-I. He called up Callaway and told them what happened and they redid the whole thing for nothing. If you just staight up with them they might help you out.
  11. I'd say to go with the 695cbs. When i've hit them square it was the best feeling club i have ever hit, but im not consistent enough to have them as my normal set of irons. Another set that i don't think any one has mentioned is the mizuno mp-67's. Mizuno makes great blades.
  12. If you are going to be serious about golf i would go get custom fitted with either a powerbuilt set or Callaway's Game enjoyment system. Both sets are great for beginners. ANother set of clubs that i can recomend are Tour Edge Bazooka irons. THese are hybrid irons that are real easy to hit and very inexpensive if you don't feel like spending the miney to get custom fitted.
  13. I have the GP New Decades and I love them. My blue one on my driver looks sick coming down o my Grafolloy Blue shaft. Winn grips are good grips but they wear out way too fast and you need to change tham every 5-6 months or so. My GP grips have lasted about a year.
  14. I wish i could get a goodpairof golf shoes. I hae sz 17 feet and i can't find any good shoes anywhere. If anyone can help me out plz do.
  15. eBay is the best place on Earth if you know how to use it. Ill sometimes buy an older 3 wood fr like 5 dollars and tradeit in at Golfers Warehouse for store credit, and most of the time i get more credit than i payed for the club. I bought a brand new Scotty Cameron Newport 2.5 for 80$! I din't like it so I tradedit in for 150$ credit. I got my brand new 775CB's for $300, bent 2 degrees upright and 1in longer. Ebay is amazing for clubs.
  16. Great set of irons for a mid-handi are the titleist 775CB's. I had a set of Tour Edge Bazookas(which are hybrid irons, if you are unfamiliar) and it was a flawless switch to those.
  17. Driver: Titleist 905R 9.5 - Grafalloy Blue X 3w: Taylor r7 st 14 - (soon to reshaft) Aldila NV 75S 3Hybrid: Talyor rescue mid 19- (also soon to reshaft) Orbitor Powerneck R 4Hybrid: Taylor rescue mid 22- (soon to reshaft) stock Talyor made R 4-PW:Titleist 775CB Irons- NS Pro 100 R 52 degree- Titlist Volkey 252-08 56 degree- Titleist Volkey 256-14 Oil Can finish Putter: Nike OZ T100 mallet Bag: Ogio something...its red Balls: anything i can find Shoes: I have sz. 17 feet so i play in my nike AIr Pegasus running shoes because i can't find any golf shoes
  18. Lots of new shafts. Just got my 905R reshafted with an X now i need one on my 3 wood and stiffs on my two hybrids...and a short game would be nice.
  19. Me personnally like the mallet putter better. I like a little bit more weight in my putters and the blade seems weightless in somecases and push a lot when i tired blades. With my mallet im more consistent
