  2. My home course (Desert Rose) flooded yesterday. It usually floods one our twice each summer when the monsoon rains hit, but this one was bad. A maintenance worker from the course was actually reported missing , and I don't think he has showed up yet either. All golfers at the course had their cars trapped in the parking lot due to rising water and could not leave. Some pf them made the best of it and putted around on the two greens near the clubhouse that where still above water. It was really crazy and the video I took doesn't do it much justice. 15 of the 18 holes where completely covered in rushing water at one point, most of the greens stayed above water though. All the practice areas where hit pretty hard. The driving range had rushing water on it, and the putting and pitching greens where covered in water and debris. Video An hour before this photo, rushing water covered this entire fairway. That green is jacked up
  3. Sounds good to me. I shrunk them down to 6" inches across. Some of the details where getting a little small, like the ball and the dot in .com, but it should still work. You just need to pay attention when pealing the transfer tape off, that you don't leave the dot and ball down on the backing. I don't think they need to be in reverse. They should stick and last on the outside of the window, but I can make both. Its 5 year outdoor vinyl. PM me a mailing address and I will send you a small pack of decals. If you love them, we can make more. Or any golf decal for that matter.
  4. I wasn't sure if I should dig out a thread from 2010 or make a new one? I busted out the shovel..... The Shoveler lol. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have the equipment to make the vinyl decals, and have been toying around with the plotter today. I'm having one problem though, the sand in the decal is to small for this medium. The sand blasting out of the trap in the decal is to small and releases from the backing when hand weeding. I blew just the logo up to 12" x 12" inches and it was still pushing it, but the bigger one did come out fine. A 12" x 12" inch decal is a bit to big though, unless you really really love the sand trap lol. Here's what they look like. The smaller one is 12 inches across and has no sand particles in the logo. The big one, was just for fun, and I wanted to see if the sand particles would stay down during the weeding process. The little ones I really like, but the fact that the sand particles are not there just ruins it for me. It's called The Sand Trap. I think it doesn't look right without the sand blasting out of the bunker. I would be willing to make a run of these for free, just not sure if I can bring myself to produce a product with some of the logo missing. What do you guys think, how does it look without the sand particles? I know some of you would be more then willing to put the sticker in your car window without the sand, but I have to make sure it would be ok with iacas/Erik/E-Dog first. LOL. I personally think its a no go without the sand blasting out of the bunker, but I could be wrong. If your confused to the type of decal it is. There is clear transfer tape over the top of the decal. The blue backing peals off and you apply it to any smooth flat surface. Most likely your car window or bumper. I didn't feel like going outside atm, so I applied it to my safe as an example. Yes, No?........
  5. My most unbelievable golf story is, that I can drive 300 yards LOL.
  6. Yahoo golf handicap tracker is what I use. It has most courses complete with distances, rating, and slopes from all tees. Just pick the course you played that day ,check which tees you played from, and then enter your score. It will do all the math for you. It keeps your handicap and your handicap for each individual course you've played. Very simple. It will also keep your complete scoring history.
  7. I found this ball in the bushes. Try that pen out on this one lol. Fixing up balls sounds crazy to me though. Hit em how they are, or don't use them at all.
  8. That's so cool, you where right there? Something sounds fishy lol. I'm going to guess it just looked odd. I can't imagine there was any funny business going on. Sounds like you would be the one to ask the question to. What, was going on? Did you watch close? You said you seen a ball in his hand. I would have watched that like a hawk. Did he drop it? What did happen, you where right there! lol.
  9. Yes, Jones was ready for Sonnen, no reason at all he shouldn't have fought him. I see Jones beating both of them in the same night very easily. He just got bad guidance from Greg Jackson. The problem with Chaels striking is... it rarely finishes fights, standing up or ground and pound. Yeah maybe he can get a TKO against a lesser opponent, but high class fighters wont wilt to his feather soft touch lol. Maybe he grinds out a decision, but TKO's and even submissions have been scarce of late. His late round ground and pound is useless for ending a fight, and barley scores. Henderson on the other hand is always dangerous, even landing hard blows from the guard. Even though it's mostly one hand, everything he throws hurts. KO's and TKO's happen often. Chaels boxing background, doesn't make him an efficient striker in MMA. It lacks to much power. Knocking down Silva didn't win him the fight. Either did his countless amount of strikes on the ground. Even though Henderson throws mostly the H-Bomb. I think that one punch is more relevant then all of Chaels striking arsenal. There is no way I could call Chael a better striker then Henderson on any day. Dan has more then just the H-Bomb also.
  10. Lol, "basically" and "but". I'm just nit-picking for fun, they are far from the same. Chael can barely strike, and Hendo can bomb. Both good wrestlers but the stand up between the two is drastically different. I can't imagine training the same for both of them. Being ready for Hendo would most likely make you ready for Chael. Being ready for Chael on the other hand, does not make you ready for Hendo, in my opinion. I'm not saying Chael is the easier fight necessarily, but its different then a Hendo fight. Chael is very aggressive lately and Hendo is old. Not sure who I would want to fight, but flashbacks of Henderson vs Bisping keep popping into my head ROFL. I would for sure fight Chael over Henderson if my health was of interest. I don't mind being ground down and losing a decision, but possibly waking up and asking what happened, while having a hairline fracture in my orbital bone is a different story lol. They are kind of the same, I get it lol, Im just messin.
  11. Thanks for all the suggestions, and the swing seems to be coming along at a good pace for my level of experience. I take all the information I pick up with a grain of salt, and cross check any adjustments I might purposely make to my swing. I just want to go over the changes I've made and the results I'm getting. 1. My left heel was coming off the ground. I'm now keeping the heel down. This has helped a lot, increasing accuracy and distance. Also reduced my shanks. 2. I was way over extended. Scooting up to the ball has reduced the my slice a bit. I would like to say it has increased my accuracy, but its more to the effect of, my bad shots don't go as far offline. I guess that could be the same thing as increased accuracy lol. Toe hits have become heel hits, and shanks have slightly increases. Some shots are now hooks instead of slices. The adjustment has taken some time for me to get used to, but I can definitely see the possibilities and there was an instant improvement. 3. I was sliding my hips back, on the back swing. I'm now using more of a rotation/twist on the back swing and releasing it forward on the down swing. This has helped with ball flight and distance, while increasing my complete shanks at times. The shanks are just due to the adjustment period on the new technique though. Scooting up on the ball changed my posture, and with a few added tweaks it looks better. I made a few adjustments to my grip and use it more consistently now. Everything is helping and I wanted to wait long as possible to post my new swing. I'm a video junkie and wanted to wait, or else I might start putting up a swing every week lol. Plus the longer time between swing videos, the more changes you will be able to notice. I know the new swing can't look great, but it must look better then the old one. I can't wait to post it. I'll be posting a few swings again soon. I'm going to do some driver and irons shots from both angles. I've been thinking about warming up real good before the video. Then I'll hit 20 shots and use the video from the 10th swing of that club and camera angle. Or maybe the worst looking swing from the middle section of the video. I want it to be my natural swing and not me trying to look good as I swing. Either way I'll have some new videos soon. I can afford lessons, I'm just not sure I can talk myself into paying for them. For now this is going to be my main asset for correcting my swing flaws ha ha.
  12. Man I love Beach's scorecards . I wonder what program/software/app it is? I shot a 94 today at my home course, but didn't keep a detailed scorecard of it. Average scores are going down greatly as of late. Drives are getting straighter, mid game still sucks, and three puts are not happening as much as they used to. Think I only had two three putts today. I'm creeping up on 89, its going to happen....SOON!
  13. It sounds like you enjoy playing different courses when ever possible. I know its a drag playing the same course all the time, but my home course has the best deal in town guaranteed. You have to sign a year contract for $29 a month. You get unlimited range balls after 10am, and full rounds for $10 after 10am. Its the PDP program 10 after 10. If you live anywhere near the course (Desert Rose) you should at least look into it. I'm there a few times a week.
  14. Hey a Vegas guy. Nice to meet you. I'm also from Vegas, new to golf and the forum. Hope to see you posting around. Peace.

The aggressive round was more enjoyable for me, and the conservative was more educational. I learned a lot from both rounds, and I'm tempted to try it again. I missed more fairways on the aggressive round, but i hit more greens. If that's not coincidence, I'm finding that my short irons, even out of the rough or bad lie, are more accurate then my medium to long irons coming off the fairway. Putts where lower on the conservative round cause the shots landing on the green where usually closer to the hole due to the different approach. I learned that my 3 wood is indeed more accurate off the tee, and I plan on using it for that reason more often now. I also learned that my medium to long irons need work, I cant seem to hit any greens with them, even when the lie is in the fairway. My driver was missing on both sides of the fairway during the aggressive round, and my 3 wood only missed to the left. I'm not sure what to take from it, but it happened lol. I did get some strange looks and comments playing from the red tees lol. PS. I'm still seeing lots of improvement daily and my estimated scores and course average may be a little off. My last three games at Dessert Rose from the back tees where 95, 94, and 93. All course bests one right after one another, all shot after I made my estimates. I have been playing allot this month, and getting better daily it seems.
  16. My 5 iron doesn't see to much action hanging out with me. I haven't really added up what I'm doing right or wrong that makes the 175 yard distance not show up, but I rarely hit my 5 iron. My 4 iron is beat to crap, and the 5 is still looking new. Thinking about it, I don't hit my 6 or 7 that much either.
  17. Coming from a high handicapper, I was using an old Dunlop 58° and it was a nice little club. When I upgraded to better wedges, I got a 60° and 56° combo. The 60° is very hard to hit distances with accuracy. The old 58° was much more accurate when it came to distance. I had no idea the 60° would be that much harder to hit then the 58°, but there is a noticeable difference. I wish I had purchased the 58° and 54° combo, filling the gap with a 50° in the future. I really am having a hard time with the 60°. It comes up short for me a lot. I would say its costing me 1-2 strokes per round compared to my old 58°. I'm going to tough it out with the 60° though. Something about the higher loft is appealing to me.

Well the irons are ugly because they are super game improvement. Heavy offset with wide soles and larger faces. I think SGI irons are ugly, but i need them atm ha ha.
  19. The thing I hate most about scrambles is that I have not been involved in one yet. Sounds fun to me and I cant wait to play in one. It gives me a good reason to crank my drive power up to 95% lol.
  20. When I first started posting about hitting the long ball. Some of the people made it seem like I had only one swing of 100% power. This is not true. I do indeed have 3 driver swings. One at 80% one at 90% and one at 100%. These three different swing speeds range from 105ss - 115ss- 125ss. The less swing speed the more accuracy for sure. Cranking up to 125ss is me swinging hard as humanly possible and rarely making decent contact, and 5 out of 100 might go straight. Toning down to 90% power 115ss helps me to make better contact, but its still far from reasonable when talking about accuracy. I have indeed been using my 80% 105ss driver swing as of late on most shots, but I still do crank out my power swing when feeling frisky.
  21. I shot my course best at Desert Rose a 93. I ping ponged between traps on hole four for a 10. Then had some more sand troubles on hole nine for a 8. I got my $h!t together on the back nine and scored 4 pars to top out at 93.
  22. I agree It would be strange for one fighter to hold a 6-8 week training camp in preparations for a fight, that he most likely will not be in. If the event doesn't happen, that could be the case for many other fighters that where on that card. Some of the fights will still happen and some wont, and if and when they do happen the timing is thrown off already. Having one predetermined guy train as a sub for the main event sounds like a good idea to me lol. It doesn't have to be the next in line for a shot but somebody a little lower down on the list that would still make an interesting fight. I would sure train for the small chance I might get a shot at the title. Give the alternate some incentive for taking the chance, like a desired opponent in his next fight if this one doesn't happen. You cant just cancel events, especially a pay per view. There needs to be an agreement on who the possible replacement/s might be weather he trains a full camp or not. Pay per view main events only. Or make the complete card more sustainable, and worthy of pay per view, even if the main event doesn't happen. Is that possible, that might not be possible? When Dana asked Chael if he would fight Jones on that date. He said he would fly down and fight him tomorrow lol.
  23. Should I NOT play both of these rounds on the same day? I have played multiple rounds a few times. I always shoot better my second round.
