I haven't heard anyone using three clubs, but, I have heard of people playing a round with just a 7 iron. I have not done it personally but I plan too. Ive heard it helps learn to be more creative cause you have one club for every distance.

I used to swing in my house until one day my cat got the idea that it was a toy and jumped at it and now she is blind in her right eye. So, now I take lessons at a place called Concept Golf Studio and they have a golf simulator there and I go play leagues there. Its not the exact same thing as a real round but I have gotten A LOT better using it. The putting is near impossible, so hard that if you get the ball within 6 ft. its a gimme. A lot of fun, and its really good practice. It actually makes an actual round seem easier.

People who talk on their cell phone when they are next to hit. Even worse when they say "hold on I gotta hit real quick" and just set the phone down then pick it back up and keep talking.

I use just regular sports tape (the stuff most athletes use to tape up thier ankles and wrists and what not) and just cut it to the width and length that I need.

Yeah, looking back I guess he wasn't really even talking about his round score he was more talking about some great shots. I wasn't trying to insinuate that he was lying. so I apologize if that's how it seemed.

I dont mean any disrespect at all but I noticed you said you had a 2.9 handicap and you shot a 79? Is the course really hard or something?

If only we could! I would love the game to be back to the way it was back in the early 1900's, Persimmons woods, and gutta percha balls. Life would be great!!!

I totally agree with most of this. But, the reason most people see an advantage to short irons is because they are much easier to control than a long iron, they are not effected as much by wind because they dont go as far, they fly higher and land softer on well struck hits. They are all around easier to control....to most people.

Im not talking about belly putters, I know that those are not easier to use, I'm talking about the long putters that guys like Bernard Langer , and Kevin Stadler use. Also the reason people don't use the long long putters is because they have the same opinion as me. I do agree with David Feherty though. That guys hilarious.

Who cares what its made of! The fact is its basically a fixed point, it doesn't take nearly as much skill to be a good putter with a long putter.
