  1. I hope evolvr will help me clear it up eventually, thanks for the feedback.
  2. By the way, yesterday I decided I wanna improve faster so I joined evolvr. Hope it can take my swing to the next level =).
  3. Thank you! From the frontview I think it looks okay but from the backview I can't see any similarity with your swing. My legs often lowers and get into a squatty position like this.
  4. Still don't understand proper leg/hip action. Swing from today:
  5. Im aware of that but thank you, I will work on it next range session.
  6. Great looking swing! Is the hips maybe turning a bit to early at the beginning of the downswing?
  7. Had a struggle with legwork today at range, still don't get how to rotate and move my hips, time to go youtube again =). Here's frontview of today:
  8. I rather think lack of lateral hip movement is the cause of the slice. The ball should roughly be at such length from the body so if you hold your club and drop it to the left knee it should land just above the knee.
  9. After impact 95 % of the body weight should be on the left foot, it seems most of your weight is on the right after impact.
  10. New swing thoughts. Ball position more away from body. Little bit more athletic position at setup. Left shoulder start swing, no legs or wrists. Steeper path from when the wrists break in backswing. Steeper clubshaft angle at the top aiming at the ball or closer. Right leg much more straight on downswing, starting the swing with lateral hip movement with the left knee moving towards the target.(Priority 1) More wrist follow through after impact.
  11. Things I can see to work on from the video, hands more away from body at setup, clubface more open at top, steeper shaft lean at the top and fix the early release of my hips.
  12. Im fine with that, just wanted to point out that 260 yards isn't bad.
  13. My mental toughness of disturbing things is pretty high, there are some things I can't handle ofcourse like when my dad and I play and he says good shot every shot even the bad ones. However my mental toughness when it's going good is really bad, I start thinking of lowering my handicap and gets shaky on putts and chips. Last time I played I only needed to get double bogey on last hole to lower my handicap but ofcourse the ball was out in the woods the only timein the round at the 18th hole.
  14. My increase in length per club is about 10-15 yards so it's nothing weird with hitting 190 with 5 iron if your 9 iron goes 140. 9: 140 yards 8:150 7:160 6:170 5:180 260 yards with carry is long, seeing from the table thats about 300 yards with roll. If you really hit that why do you complain about it? Are you gonna make hio in par 4? Most people don't come close to hit 300 yards even with single handicap.
  15. Yesterday I was confused why my swing looked so uggly so I went to youtube to find advice. Finally my swing looks like something I like and my shots were fantastic today with all clubs.
  16. Most of my shots were very solid today so I guess I shouldn't complain, but I just don't like the look of my swing. Any tips what to work on next?
  17. Wow I thought that was fundamental to a good golfswing, thought swinging in to out was connected with having higher shaft angle at impact. Well doesn't feel so nice working on that for almost 3 months now...
  18. I thought the clubshaft angle at adress should be roughly the same at impact. If I look at this thread http://thesandtrap.com/t/53724/the-ps-positions-or-as-alignments-in-the-golf-swing it also seems like that at a7. Can you explain why you aren't following this and what it causes with different angles in that position?
  19. Take videos from straight infront of you and straight back from you with the hands in the centre. This is almost impossible to analyze. Edit: However your left foot shouldn't move during the swing. Your head should not rise or move on the backswing but it's ok to lower it in the frontswing (most pros do this) like you do.
  20. The red line describes the shaft angle at adress and the yellow line describes your shaft angle at impact. When people talk about being on plane in a swing it happens when red and yellow coincide at impact, so you need to hit a lot more on the plane to dont get the slice you probably struggle with now. On the right pic you see the red arrow describing how your hands move, to avoid swinging over the top you need to get your hands move more like the green arrow. Filming and experimenting is the key and also watch some youtube videos on over the top.
  21. At number 2 if you mean he is staying with an open stance, this is not something you shouldn't be able to do. Look at the pros in competions for instance tiger woods he is almost always staying with an open stance, you just need to understand that you can't swing the same with an open stance as with a closed stance you need to correct the swingpath according to the stance.
  22. tell him to try to hit the ball before the ground instead of scooping under the ball, this you do by leaning shaft and hips more forward at impact which creates more spin and more controlled shots.
  23. seems your weight is a lot on the right foot on the top of the swing and this is because of your body is moving away from target(which is also moving the head).
  24. Your swing doesn't seem bad at all but here is somethings i would work on in your case. The shoulders are on a too flat angle at the top of the backswing as you can see with the red lines. You can increase this by side tilting and maybe also straighten the left leg in that position. The red star shows the difference between the space between your elbow and body and his. You can try to put one peg in each of your armpit while swinging and make them stay until impact as a drill to fix that. Also your hips should be leaned forward at impact to make contact with ball before hitting the ground. Also try to swing in front of a mirror to aim the clubshaft more at the ball at the top instead of behind your back. Here's a thread with correct positions of the whole swing to compare your with: http://thesandtrap.com/t/53724/the-ps-positions-or-as-alignments-in-the-golf-swing Good luck!
  25. Your head is moving a lot during your swing. Try to stabilize it for more consistent hits, it's seems like the back is raising from begining of the backswing thru your whole swing, causing your head to rise but im not certain. If you post videos in slow motion(only one swing) and from backview also it will be easier to see what you are doing.
