  1. Packer fan. That is all.
  2. I bought a Taylormade 56 degree wedge used from a local shop and it's incredible. It looked brand new and works like it. Great grip, too. Paid only $56 for it.
  3. It's probably not special, but just off the green (only fairway) and around 20-35 yards from the pin I hit this nasty putt/chip with my 3 iron. I can pull out the 56 degree and plop it next to the hole but I've grown accustomed to running it near the hole. Just a comfort thing. Great thing about golf - you can do one thing a dozen ways.
  4. I'm fairly set on the 19* Baffler T-Rail Hybrid. I'm a bit skeptical as to whether I should go with the regular or stiff flex, though. I can get relatively great deals on both but I'm not sure which flex will suit me best. That's my only issue at this point. Also, would anyone be able to recommend hybrid-specific shafts that would be ideal? Or would stock be sufficient for now? I'm looking for mid-high trajectory with low-mid spin. Again, any help would be great! Everyone's been incredible so far.
  5. I definitely get where you're coming from now. That makes more sense. Thanks a lot for your input. Would the 2 hybrid be a legitimate replacement for a 5 wood?
  6. So I'd guess that 20.5 is what I'm looking for? Thanks! Would you recommend the Razr X HL hybrids above the aforementioned?
  7. I'm 18 and work forty hour weeks during what is supposed to be a relaxing summer before I start my freshman year at Yale. I think most would agree with me when I say that working your tail off and paying your dues easily beats having a club sent to you for free.
  8. Just saw Tiger hit a man during the fourth round at the AT&T; National. He took his glove off and signed it for the guy. That's pretty classy and wasn't entirely warranted.
  9. On a 415 yard par 4 at a local course I had my first chip in since I was 13 I believe (I'm 18 now). Unfortunately I took three or four years off from golf and just got back into it this spring/summer (anywhere from 27-36 holes a week). The par 4 number 6 was a slight dog-leg left with huge pines preventing me from cutting the corner (use irons off the tee since I cannot drive remotely straight due to my nasty slice). So I took a four iron off the tee and put it just over 200 into the fairway. I took the same four iron and put it about five yards off the green is some deep rough. Chose a lob wedge for my third and the swing was everything I envisioned. About five to six feet of roll and it fell right in! I always say that one good shot compensates for dozens of bad ones. Shot a 91 that day and was fairly happy with it.
  10. Surprised no one has said anything regarding players hitting multiple balls on a consistent basis. I've played behind foursomes with eight to ten balls on the green. Not only does it result in unnecessary damage to the green, but it's incredibly rude to those waiting behind you and your group (if they aren't doing the same).
  11. Is there anything that sets either the Mashie or the Baffler apart (besides the Baffler's awesome name haha)?
  12. Hey all! Just joined this forum in hopes of having a few questions answered! I've been looking for a nice hybrid to couple with a set of Razr X HL irons that I just purchased. I would be using it off the tee a bit more than the average person and obviously in distance situations. I'm most interested in a 3-hybrid with a loft of 18-19 degrees. At this point, my number one option is the Cobra Baffler T-Rail but I'm open to other suggestions. I could pick that up for $120 which would be a steal compared to the normal $160. However, I've found the Ping G20 for a comparable price. Unfortunately I am unable to test the clubs as the most localized golf-oriented shop with any sort of technology is around two hours away. The local courses also don't carry any of these as demo clubs. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
