  1. ...well, the folks who were going to rent the house have cancelled... so its still available
  2. I am thinking about renting my house out for the Ryder Cup - in 2010. 4 bed, 2 bathroom , house in lovely village 15 mins from Celtic Manor - 5 mins from St Pierre Golf Course, memebers guest rate and can you clubs if you want to play while down here. (Google eart "Shirenewton" for location) Any offers?
  3. Ok, I'm from the Uk so have a leaning towards the Euro Tour.. I think there's more variety of course and location. I also think that in the US, they'd rather show Tiger putting his shoes on, rather than any other player sinking a 35 yard putt!
  4. I've been very lucky to play some great courses - but I doubt if I'll be lucky enough to play Augusta! Mind you, I open to invites!
  5. I played at Sun City in South Africa and when the greens bake in the sun, they get a little scary! Some of the old links in the UK can get quick in the summer too! I played Royal Lytham after the Open Qualifiers, and they were FAST! Sawgrass next month for me. I guess they will not be slow, but Oakmont at 15 on stimp sounds like no fun at all!!
  6. How many of you US golfers have played in the UK/Ireland? I was at Lahinch last summer and it was full of Amercians - good to see them too! Get yourself over - play an old links, a very different game indeed!

Sorry America..."football" is the World Game! We were playing before you lot had you first game of "cowboys and indians!" Not sure about your version....one guy throws a ball to another guy - he catches and 10 fat guys jump on him! Everyone runs around for 10 minutes "hoopering and hollerin' and high fiveing!!"...not sure why!! And a game timed at 4 quarters of 15 minutes each takes about 6 hours to play?? But you have it right with "cheerleaders!" Sometimes you play "hockey"..... or "fighting on ice" as we call it here!
  8. Thanks...looking forward to it. Coming over on 20th Feb
  9. My wife and I are coming from the UK to at end of February to play Sawgrass... is it as good as they say? We will be booked on the Stadium and Valley courses...is there any where else nearby that we MUST play? What is the local area like to visit?
  10. JACK....now ....Tiger soon! (propbably!)
  11. http://www.bowood-golf.co.uk/ Geeting from the UK!!
  12. I have just taken a pay off after 20 years in a major Financial Services Company... starting a new role in an IT company next month!
