I'm a student at the University of Iowa and they've always been my favorite team since I was a little kid. The running back situation is all sorts of messed up, but we always have loads of potential so we should be fine. Solid qb, solid receivers, solid defense. I'd be happy with 8-4, 9-3. Hopefully 10 w's
So I let my buddy try out my Diablo Octane driver at the range today. That was a mistake. A badly topped ball later, there is a pretty good sized dent on the bottom of the club head. Callaway carries a 2 year warranty with their clubs, would they send me a new one if i returned this?
i think the wild card deserves a playoff spot. im an stl cardinals fan, but think about yanks/bosox for example. they've had the #1 and #2 records in the entire MLB before. without the wild card, one of them wouldnt make the playoffs. a lot of times wild card teams have better records than other division champs because their own division is stacked.
I've always had a pretty bad slice with my driver. Today I hit a couple balls with my buddy who is a scratch golfer. 1 ball to be exact. I drove an old noodle ball into the river pry about 240 yards with a slice. He popped his trunk, pulled out his R11 and smacked a beautiful shot with some draw on it about 3/4 across the river. I was very humbled to say the least, although watching his shot was awesome. He said to keep my right elbow in (im RH) during my swing to prevent slicing. I tried it at the range and all my drives went straight when doing so but it felt really awkward through contact and I seemed to lose a lot of power. Do you keep your elbow in through contact or just on the downswing?
let me just say that there is still 50 games left in the season and STL will rebound and make the playoffs.. and then it all clicks together for the redbirds, time for 12 in 12 baby. and to the above talking about the 1 game thing being hard to tell who's the better team.. thats the beauty of baseball my friend. on any given day the worst team in the MLB could beat the best. its all about who shows up to play with the right mentality and who executes better than their opponent. and if 1 team has a dominant ace and the other doesnt.. thats tough. lol
I just started golfing a couple weeks ago since im done playing baseball/other sports for good now (graduated HS). My best on 18 so far is 102, shot a 46 on 9 on a different day. For all you guys scoring in the 70s/low 80s, how long did it take you to start consistently scoring like that on 18 holes?
watch his video on bunker play. i think its an awesome vid. helped me a lot from the sand. too bad i have plenty more problems than hitting from bunkers.
I just started golfing a couple weeks ago as my baseball career ended. I started off horrible but have improved, shooting around 95 on my par 72 home course. My biggest problem is my drive. I have such a bad slice and I don't know how to prevent it. I really try to focus on turning my right wrist over my left (I'm RH) but most of the time its a nasty slice. I went to the range today and I hit both my 3 iron and 3 wood further and straighter than my driver. I don't understand what is wrong with my drive. I have the same swing, why are my drives the only balls i hit that slice?
