I am an 18 HCP and I just switched this year from playing Ping G25's to the Mizuno JPX 850 forged. Although they are not as forgiving as the G25's, they still have enough forgiveness for me that I feel very comfortable hitting them. They are great looking clubs and the feel of hitting a forged iron on the sweet spot is unbelievable.....best golf decision I've ever made. If I were you I would at least try them before making a decision to buy the JPX EZ.

If I win I will select the Black Pure Pro Golf Grips to start my 2015 gold season with a Pure Advantage Jimmy Walker -12 Rory McIlroy -10 Jordan Spieth -12

I want to win a Callaway Big Bertha Driver Adam Scott -8 Graeme McDowell -7 Lee Westwood -5

To build up the Pure Grips, you can use blue painters tape or masking tape....I have used both and they both work fine. I did buy the gun attachment and did my own grips. Once you get the old grips and tape off, installing the Pure grips is very easy....watch the instructional video on their website.

If I were you, I would definitely get fitted for any clubs that you want to purchase. It gives you an opportunity to try different shafts, different lies, etc. Well worth the money. Usually your big box stores will waive the fitting fee if you purchase the clubs from them.

I starting using Pure Pro grips last year. I have played 40 rounds with them and practice at least twice a week during the season and the grips are still in good shape. I clean them after every round with Gripes, the grip cleaning wipes made by Lamkin. Best grips I've ever used. Very easy to install and remove with the compressor gun attachment.

Good choice....enjoy.

All the manufacturers have good game improvement clubs today. It's just a matter of what looks good to you and what you feel most comfortable hitting. When I was upgrading my clubs last year, I hit Titleist AP1's, Mizuno JPX 825's and Ping G25's. I ended up going with the Ping G25's.....they are very forgiving and the distance between clubs is very consistent. I have to say they are the best clubs I ever owned and have helped me lower my handicap to be able to play bogey golf on a consistent basis. Also, Ping's customer service is the best.

Pure Pro. Easy to install and last longer than other grips I have used over the years.

Ed Gibson or Bruce Fleming at Makefield Highlands in Yardley, PA. I have used Ed in the past and have had great results......I would recommend either one. -
Absolutely.

Need advice regarding upgrading irons...
aangel replied to jcash's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I would suggest you try Mizuno JPX 825, Mizuno JPX EZ, Titleist AP1 and Ping G25. I have the Ping G25's and love them. -
The most consistent irons I have played. Prior to these, I played TM 2.0 burner irons, which were approximately 5 yards longer but the distance between clubs was not consistent. The best golf purchase I've ever made.

I have the G25's and am considering changing to aerotech or recoil shafts. I would appreciate your feed back on your new shafts.

I played the Ping G20's all last year and loved them. With the intro of the G25's, Ping has reduced the G20's in price....great bang for your buck.

It was not advice, but merely a suggestion...that's what he wanted.

I am gonna buy an R11 and cut it down to 44"....thoughts?
aangel replied to JohnnyB's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I had my Callaway Razr x Black driver cut down to 43.5" and have never hit the ball straighter off the tee. It definitely gives me more control and I have not noticed any loss of distance. -
I've tried many hybrids over the years, including Nickent, Callaway, and TM, but nothing beats my present Adams Idea Tech V3 #3 and #4 Hybrids....love them.

Try to find a pro shop at a local golf course that does custom fitting. You will usually work with the club pro and be able to hit the clubs on their driving range....this will allow you to see the actual ball flight......do not rely solely on indoor simulators at golf shops. With a $700 price point, this allows you several options. Make sure you try the Ping G20's.
