  1. I simply support the Christian view of the family and same sex relationship. All of of are God children and neither I nor does He in the bible preach hate against Homosexuals. Anyone who says the bible hates or teaches Christians to hate anyone does not understand the bible and probably not read the entire book. Many like to use the Leviticus scripture but the teaching against same sex is in the old and new testament (if one cares) Many have not the slightest interest in what God says (assuming you believe in God) and that is the individuals right. But just as in Golf if you do not understand the fundamentals and choose to ignore things like angles of attach, club face, weight shift and so, your decision whether intently or accidental will have consequences good or bad on the outcome of the shot. Romans 1-26-27 clearly states God's view on the subject. Apart form that I pray God blessings on all the people I know gay and straight. The final decision in Gods hands as will be the liars, drunks, pedophiles in and out of the church. God in the final days judges all of us . We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God and it is that simple. I did not intend to preach but did not want my view to be perceived and some fanatical point of view. unless one feels God is subject to man's likes and dislikes and well....I won't go there. My desire is not to offend anyone through malice rather just to make my position clear. Now maybe we can talk golf.
  2. I am recovering from a lamenectomy L4/L5 on March 1 2012. Things going pretty well. Stretching is CRITICAL. I am just getting back to swinging the club and I guess it's not too bad. It does impair my ability to make a full swing without fear of doing damage. I have two Medicus clubs (driver and 5 iron) and they help me with consistent motion. I have only hit a couple of buckets of balls and chip in my back yard. I can hit a full wedge without going in someone's yard. Of course I can only hit my PW about 80 yrds and I feel good about that. The thing that the Medicus doesn't help me with is posture and keeping my body correct and not raising up on my down swing. I need some help with that. Anyone have any suggestion or tips on how to practice the posture and not raising up?
  3. I strongly support Chick fil a!! Truett Cathey has been stead fast and up front about his company's stance on Christian values. He was my son's Sunday school teacher and his company has done wonderful things for kids through scholarships to college. I believe that all men are created equal in the sight of God and their value and worth is not subject to debate. The issue is behavior and subject to all opinions. But there is only one Judge. And He gets the final word.
  4. It's the time we live in. But Tiger is the last person to bring up the issue of ethics.
  5. Tiger needs to concern himself about his own putting. I don't know how many log putter golfers have actually beaten the shorter putter folks. Anyone have the stats?
  6. "I don't think Jack had tougher competition. I think that's an old-timer speaking about "the way things used to be" a little bit." Could be. But the fact that one has seen so many others in a real time situation allows one to make a better comparison. It's not that Jack didn't have as much competition, it's just that he was so much better. Kinda like Woods. And if one is fortunate to live long enough they too can make a better comparison.
  7. Like many of you, I have followed Wood's career since he was at Stanford. He has been a marvelous talent and a tremendous draw for the game of golf. How good is he now? Will he ever be as good as he was in his best days? Who knows? Nobody!! Whats more I can't get all worked up about the question. I love golf and we are very fortunate to be able to see the young and older talent demonstrate their skills. I especially enjoyed watching Els win recently and see VJ play so well to come up short. I guess it is natural for folks to have their heroes; I guess Palmer, Nicklaus, Trevino, Player and so many others were mine. I remember Jack being asked some time before he won his last Masters "Do you ever wonder if you will win again". His response; "Only when someone like you asks the question". I respect great talent and I think it was easier to have hero's before the 24hour new cycle. I'll admit that I have lost respect for Tiger as a man, but his talent was and is undeniable. Will he break Nicklaus' record? I don't know, but I kinda hope he doesn't. I raised to respect the total man and not just his skill.
