  2. Not my point Of course they are in the vast majority of golf rounds played across the world on a daily basis. No argument there. But in professional tournament play, under the eyes of millions, it is pretty ridiculous that someone can get DQ'ed over a paper scorecard in this day and age.
  3. Quote: Then it goes into the tired old "let's get rid of scorecards altogether." Scorecards in tournament tour golf in 2013? Don't you think that's a little ridiculous? And worse, that someone could actually be DQ'ed about one?
  4. This is a must-read on the Tiger Drop-Gate: http://espn.go.com/golf/notebook/_/page/birdiesandbogeys130416/time-closer-look-rules-golf

  7. Bubba!!!
  8. Seeing what Colsaerts just did, the Americans shouldn't concede any more putts today
  9. Bubba was overmatched today
  10. There we go Keegan, and Dufner just went 1 up, and now DJ. C'mon guys let's go
  11. It may all come down to Stricker and then Tiger, scary thought
  12. Garcia's moon boots look ridiculous
  13. It's going to be a nail biter today, I have a bad feeling. Those lost matches on Saturday are going to loom large.
  14. Wow what a putt from Simpson to halve that first hole, that was huge
  15. Yeah, either him or Rory. How many freaking times do you need to look up at the hole? Wish more guys played like Sneds
  16. He's all over the place but Stricker isn't much better, he found water on the 2nd. Americans off to a poor start.
  17. Exactly, this is why I don't mind the current system. If it were based on regular season/playoff wins the Patriots would be the 2008 Superbowl Champions. But they're not; they were beaten by the better team that day. I don't mind that once a year the PGA wants to have their version of the Superbowl.
  18. I spent about $55 this week, which included two rounds (one at $26 and the other at $18) and two trips to the range at 5 each. That's pretty typical. Some things to keep costs down: - Set up a practice net in your backyard, you can hit into it every day for free and reduce the number of times you need to go to the range - Play twilight rates as much as possible - Use Golf 18 or other similar, they have good deals on greens fees - Walk as much as possible; it's better for you, you'll play better, and you'll save money - When I was in grad school and on a poverty-level income, I found a huge open field on campus and nobody minded if I hit balls there. I got a bunch of cheap balls and a shag bag and just walked back and forth across the field working on different shots. It was good practice, and free.
  19. If not Tiger, I'm hoping Sneds gets it. Man I felt bad for Jim there on 17
  20. Yep, Tiger lost the tournament on Friday. If he could have just held steady Friday and played the same round today he'd be one shot off. He'll need a miracle tomorrow.

  23. I have no idea what is the most popular, but I really like my Callaway Razr.
  24. Taking practice swings with my irons I feel like I can groove a perfect swing; great tempo, balance, turn, etc. But then I step up to the ball and it all changes. No matter what I tell myself end up I swinging too hard, and I feel like my weight transfer goes in the wrong direction. I know this is all in my head......but are there tips or drills I could do to help this?
  25. I much prefer pants but in June/July/August in Texas, pants are crazy talk
